That i've overlooked On 16278 it has to be from Home (or coresinglelanguage iirc). PS, you can set WES to convert from and to all sku's.
i saw that you can get WS converted from home edition, does this apply for win10 home 1703 (15063) as well ? can we get WS converted from this win10 home version ?
Mount the install.wim (Home index) and run these commands: Code: dism.exe /image:c:\mount /Get-CurrentEdition & Code: dism.exe /image:c:\mount /Get-TargetEditions It will show you what it can be set-edition'ed to
yes that's what i wanted to do but i dont't have that iso so have to download it and it will take time before i completely download the iso as my down speed is not fast that much, that's why i asked here. edit : ok so after i downloaded the iso, it seems that win10 home 1703 version does not allow to convert to WS.
Debugging now, and have to tidy up some of the switch entries. But I will let you know when I officially release it on GitHub.
Can't remember if it was you who asked if I had done anything with UUP conversion, but earlier I worked with the wimgapi.dll a bit more and found the correct compression ratios where we can now create UUP files from WIM files and vice versa. I have not completed a full functioning script for it yet, but likely I will just create a few module cmdlets that solely use wimgapi for compression, converting, etc. Basically what the Wimlib API can do, just without the requirement of having to also have additional files in order for it to work.
I'm still using Server 2016 as my Workstation's OS without problems. Could you elaborate on the "good things to say about its features specific to workstation hardware" that might be better for me. Would there be any advantages in switching?

Thanks, but I was hoping he had something more to say. Windows Server 2016 is optimized in the same way, so I was looking for some other advantages. Perhaps cost is the sole advantage over Windows Server 2016??
I can write any info you want about the changes that are significant. That link posted is a tiny part of what I've said in here. You can read these where I go into more hardware-related detail. 99% of the people in here run PfW just because it will install on non-workstations, hence why this thread has no real viable info of its very noticeable difference between any other flavor of Windows. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...o-for-workstations.74909/page-23#post-1379387 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...o-for-workstations.74909/page-23#post-1379467 *EDIT* Nevermind, he quoted them.
