Oke I have re read it and I was not saying that you don't know the difference I just reacted to the probaly better IMO part
Did you (or anyone) find a method to directly upgrade WorkstationProfessional? I can see from this and other comments you can convert to Pro and then upgrade and convert back to WP. If there is no better way yet what is the Pro key to use to switch back to Pro? Still the same generic -3V66T one?
At home it does not work this method ... Windows tells me that I have Windows 10 ProWS/Advanced PC's but the "product policy" its that of version Pro (limited to 2 physical processors) ....
Ps now MSMG toolkit removing all the unusefull pieces out of it Update: upgrading now to Pro Worstation for the fun of it First try failed second one on the way black screen no progression at first run ! Setup goes to 13 procent reboots and all goes black hehe
you mean you didn't enter a key and it just did a HWID activation? how is that possible if you only had Pro before? or am I missing something here
I did a test with an offline 16257 dism set-editioned Pro-Work install on a system with HWID's for Pro (+N) + Home (+N), there was no HWID activation. Only the non gVLK key from products.ini retail activated it.
True activated with pid.ini key but am associated with Insider account and still activated. Set get insider builds to active development of Windows and fast lane. edit: I have been running Pro WS for several builds now. Just been upgrading all along. Dism set build each time and upgrade.
How did you actually activate it? By entering the gVLK or non gVLK? Insider accounts don't activate anything anymore, only key, HWID or MSDM and KMS.
That is not the activation screen, what is the output of: Code: slmgr /dlv or what does the "activation" screen say?
