@endbase: I have a Win 10 Pro for Workstation v 16299.15 that I made using slave77's Wim Switcher from 10 core. Yesterday I logged in with my insider preview account and version 16299.15 was updated to v 17128.1
why especially this build ? any reason for that ? if you want to download any core edition to be able to set edition to PWS, you can download 16278, use the UUP-Dump tool to download it
@Enthousiast Hey man, I installed the RTM of Redstone 4 Windows Pro for WS (not an upgrade) but it still says Professional under CBS, what gives?
Still no way to say for sure this is RTM . As @abbodi1406 already stated several times there are only two CBS editions now , Core and Professional. All others are virtual. QT correctly identified the install as ProfessionalWorkstation hence all is good.
Oh and BTW, even on Redstone 4 RTM and having had done a clean install of Pro for WS, there is still no Ultimate Power Plan. just Balanced and I had to manually create the High Performance and Power Saver Power plans
So I've tried every method on this RS4 RTM, installing Pro for WS clean (not an upgrade), Installing Home then upgrading toe Pro for WS via my Pro for WS key, installing Pro then upgrading to Pro for WS, upgrading from Home to Pro for WS through the Windows Store, all of them result in the CBS being Professional not Professional Workstation! So much for Redstone 4 fixing the Pro for WS upgrade issues heh!
