Yours was already activated, mine not and the "key is blocked" was on the VM that reported "the activation servers can't be reached".
Could it have something to do that my VM bios has a MSDM for 8.x Pro (it doesn't activate pro though ) Re-establishing a new HWID for pro on a new clean VM, will report back asap
there is one more possibility if you do win 7 sp1 oem activation using daz then do upgrade too win10 pro and then pro workstation should works ?
So far I have tried this on my main pc and 2 vm's. And all were activated with Pro HWID and all activated to pro wks with HWID, My main PC come with 8.1 msdm bios for core edition, So I doubt that would have any effect as its windows 10 pro.
OK, my computer is older (8yrs) and so the key is not inserted into the bios and there is no UEFI or EFI, as I only deal with a master boot record (MBR). I do have a valid copy of Windows 10 Professional and I think I am going to see if this works or not. I will install Windows Pro (1703, final release), then upgrade it to the 16257.1 Preview, use a key to "upgrade" that to Windows Professional Workstation, then proceed to upgrade to 16288.1. I will be doing this on actual hardware. Will report back once I have 1703 installed (so if you have any tips or more to add before I move to the next step, please speak up).
CSL activated well by the established HWID for Pro on the test VM too, Pro-Work doesn't, but establishing a new HWID for Pro on a clean VM as we speak.
YES, I do for Windows 10 Professional. The question is whether or not I can obtain Windows 10 Professional Workstation as a digital license as suggested by @ambidav
