How would he be able to share the .esd? He does not download it form a MS webistes but he is getting it as an MS update!
Just on the Windows preview site, you click "Get Started" and then download the .exe to upgrade Windows 7, as opposed to downloading the ISO.
you will find probably the esd in your C:\recovery file or in C:\windows\SoftwareDistribution ..check it ..
For Systems with old style Start Menu like Windows 7/8.1 and Windows 10 TP 9841 etc. ESD downloaded address: C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log ESD decryption code: C:\$Windows.~BT\sources\panther\windlp.state.xml (cannot remember well the correct path, it is in panther folder though) To get all available 22 ESDs of different locale with one English System, simply modify the MUI registry (and reboot to take effect) to cheat Windows... No comment due to off-topic. Note: To get fr-CA and es-MX ESDs with above-stated trick, the System must be newer than 9926 (cannot remember well) or it crashes at reboot for lack of appropriate fonts.
Nope, 87%, download is being incredibly slow. Checked Task Manager and it seems like Windows Update is pausing and resuming the update seemingly randomly (going between 0-0.24% network utilisation to 10% network utilisation for about 10 seconds or so at random intervals) This whole update is incredibly bizarre...
My internet cut out and when I clicked "Retry" the whole thing started redownloading again rather than resuming. Great ¬_¬
