Just did a clean upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro to this. I simply clicked on the setup within windows. Took me maybe 20 minutes. So far looking good.
just to clarify before downloading the big files of "Win10 Enterprise TP Build 1056 x64 VOLUME Eng. Unpacked ISO" ,i unrar the files to a folder.then need to make bootable iso using power iso then rufus to make bootable usb .. am i correct guys? someone should clarify NON-Bootable at the front page.. that word keeping us many confused
i think non-bootable its when the file they upload its not iso and its only folder with the files inside...you make it bootable using tools like burn or make iso and then burn it..
Good - once it finishes, I'm gonna RUFUS it and upgrade 10051 on Baby Pavilion (the smaller of my 10-driven notebooks and the only one running right now; Big Pavilion, the OTHER notebook, and the one with the bigger screen, is waiting for a new AC adapter to arrive). The other advantage Baby Pavilion has is that it will become my development notebook (as it supports Hyper-V; that is ALSO why it has VS 2013 Community installed).
Besides, unless things have changed radically, it uses the same activation key that every Insider build has used (which has applied to all previous leaks, including the Partner leaks).
I would like to receive an ISO file link in my PM. I am too lazy to build it myself. Will require from me to reboot into Windows
I've used RUFUS for all my Windows USB bootable stick needs since I found out about it (here on MDL, in fact). The only times it has failed is due to bad images (or a screwup on my part).
Files are unpacked from ISO which means it won't be bootable ISO. All you need to do is: - Open older bootable Windows 10 build iso file with UltraISO or similar application - Delete all files inside and put the new downloaded one from here instead. (You can drag & drop) - Save as 10056.iso or whatever you want it name it and now you have bootable ISO that can be used to clean install via USB or DVD!
Pull-ease; download the MEGA link (using Firefox, if you hate Chrome), then RUFUS the resulting ISO, then install wherever.
I just installed 10056, its alright, but the start menu is buggy (searchui.exe) ive disabled it for now, and working around it not bad otherwise edit: desktop is kinda buggy too, it seems like its disabled for me lol oh well, i dont use the desktop anyways
Oh joy, now we've even lost our classic resolution screen, ported that to the Metro crap too, and it doesn't even open the rez settings, you have to click advanced to get there
Everybody says so. We need a solution for that. It used to lag .5 secs. But now I think it increased.
