so far no complaints everything working as advertised did an upgrade from 10051 using original wzor files
it's bloated, full of search to web and cortona crap, eating ~40megs of ram seems windows tries to 'suspend' it after you havent clicked the start menu for 10 secs or so and then when you click it again it sometimes crashes and re-launches it causing lag
hahaha, indeed LOL Well, installing. Someone noticed anything major besides the new Recycle bin icon?
I installed from Clean 8.1 I wanted no driver issues...And I have zero issues. Did the upgrade straight from within with the setup.
This build actually seems to work without huge issues. Hidden icons work which has been awhile..lol. Search no longer clocks all apps in the start menu. No real headaches install went without issue.
My nightmare has come back. I am on Parallels Desktop. After installing this build, I cannot reach desktop, which is shared between Mac and Windows. It was fixed in latest Parallels Desktop. But it comes back. Anyone using?
Did a clean install from ISO, and its a thing of beauty. Fast, zero problems so far. Well, except for one. I always put the Sound thing onto the desktop so I can quickly change from my Speakers to my TV HDMI Sound output, but it appears I can't do that any more. So, now when I go to launch Netflix or Youtube videos onto the big screen, it will be a longer process to, go into the Control Panel, Find the Sound settings etc, just to get the sounds switched over to the HDMI/TV output. If anyone figures out how to make a short cut to the Sound settings onto the desktop that would be great. Thanks So far, it seems everything is running pretty good. Initially Windows did not see my 2560x1440 IPS display, but after enabling it inside the AMD CCC, then Windows "seen" it just fine. That was the only real difference I noticed so far, other than I can't hear Cortana speak. Oh, and the Trash Bin looks just fine to me. lol
Dumb comment of course, but wouldn't it be great if we could have incremental updates, rather than having to re-install every time. Obviously, I know you can do an upgrade install, but it takes so much longer than a clean install and is nowhere near so good anyways. If M$ adopted a rolling release model, they'd surely have more takers. I for one don't have the time for a full software load every week!
The height of taskbar is higher than the previous versions. Is it possible to decreate it ? ( I already chose small icons= )
I have upgraded every release, no clean installs. I did this just because they said I could. I've had no issues. When the RTM comes out I'll probably do the same thing, as well as a clean install on another drive, just for the experience.
Yeah that works. But I have to right click it and then click on "Playback Devices" and then get the window I'm after, lol. I wanted that selection window to have a short-cut on the desktop right next to the Netflix app short cut. Its more clicks but I can do that no biggie. Thanks
