Has anyone been able to create an AIO with build 10041? I tried, but the installer would only list Pro x86 & Pro x64. It wouldn't list the Enterprise editions.
Yet you bashed me before for saying "the new start menu is bad" you clearly don't like it which made you use "Classic Shell", Well I will use CS now too.
I have 2 questions: 1. Did anyone figure out how to choose updates in this version? Enabling 'Windows Update' in Control Panel and modifying group policy to 'allow administrator to change settings' broke the update altogether for me. It worked fine in 9926 but failed in 10036 and 10041. 2. Did anyone manage to install virtualbox in this version? I am asking about installation of virtualbox on 10041 host and not the other way round. If so, please share version and method of installation. I tried various versions but the system failed to reboot after installation.
Sorry, but I have 3 questions (I have 10041 Pro installed - clean build) 1) I live in the UK and I thought Cortana was supposed to now work in the UK - but I'm still getting that's it's unavailable - Why? 2) Any fix for the audio issue on start-up?....my speaker icon has a red circle and a white cross in the middle of it - It seems to work if I click on it and it then checks for problems and then enables (IDT codec) 3) Anyway to fix Mail/People/Calendar apps? I've tried the well published 'fix' but that just disables my start menu from opening and the 'Search the web & windows' search bar to stay on screen. Thanks in advance
So, I just installed Win 7 on another HDD but it seems like the boot manager doesn't detect it. Also I can't see another install in msconfig. Tried /fixmbr /fixboot. Ideas? Edit: I used bootrec.exe from Windows 10 and also from my Win 7 install stick.
to fix the audio...u need to reset the hardware....it sucks but for now it seems to be the only fix that works. select the second option....remove and re-install everything.... that should fix it.
whoever told you that was misinformed. Cortana only works on Windows 10 (at the moment) when both the language and region are set to en-us.
