so you are saying i need to install the previous version first and then install the update from the files provided in this thread
honestly I don't know which version you are on but if you have 9926 as your official Technical preview installed you can download latest 10041 TP and let it simply install automatically. Any previous funny experiments might/will lead to malfunction as usual
I'm using this "Windows10_TechnicalPreview_x32_EN-US_9926" from insider ,on my vmware , mybe a dump Q how to install this esd file , i have already downloaded it from this thread
Fixed the install of 10041 so that SFC would complete properly. That was last night. This morning it would not boot. Win10 TP is now gone from my PC again. I'll wait for another release.
-It looks like the hack to re-enable WU in Control Panel (IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled=0) is having a negative effect on reaching WU in either the new or old UI. All of a sudden, in order not to get a 0x8024a000 error, I had to flip back to 1 and try the new UI again. Flipping it back to 0 seemed to allow both UIs to coexist happily again, but that was short-lived. I'm leaving it set to 1 for now and using Gpedit to stop updates from happening automatically. -Which reminds me, gpedit.msc throws an obscure "found duplicate definition of element string" error (twice). Anyone figure out how to stop it?
If you go to the insider website...you will see there is an option with links there to download and make an iso.
I uninstalled 10041 because I was having issues and went back to 9926 and set the update build setting to SLOW..and here comes 10041 on the slow ring...help me lord..lol..
For some maybe, not so much me. I hope they changed a few thing before releasing this build in the slow ring-but I doubt it!
10041 has been very stable for me after running sfc /scannow I can see why MS is sending it out on the slow ring
its already in slow ring I hope they fixed the SWTOR constant CTD if not I guess back to win 8.1... ( had to revert to 9926)
Look I am a gamer too, however I hate to say it, but have you thought it is a game client issue? I have had a few game game client issues along the way in Win 10 TP, not really win 10 TP but the way the client and game calls for stuff. IT really is up the game manufacturer to update, but since it is a TP there is no need for them to update to each version of Win TP. ON an aside the same applies to hardware manufacturers and drivers...lots of issues people are having as I have seen are not using proper Win 10 drivers, and it will cause unexpected issues. ANd once again it is not MS responsibility to fix the drivers, but the manufacturers, so we have no reason to complain when there are issues or problems. Yeah I would love to have newly built drivers and software for each Win 10 TP release, but it ain't gonna happen. So I am left to either figure out ifg I can make it work, roll back to a previous version, or drop win 10 TP and go back to Win 8.1. IT is my choice.
i have it install 10 hours with USB and all working very good and its stable so far .. and my drivers all its very good so far..i can't wait see if from windows update make some change's
