Neh, the same version: 8.970.100.9001 | 1/13/2015 on my machine. Try to install the official AMD driver. Download, unpack the package somewhere on your disk, but do not start installing. Then go to Device Manager and manually update to the AMD driver (you'll find the .inf in .../Packages/Drivers).
March updates applied (Enterprise 32 bit). Lucky me that Task Manager is okay. A new hassle is System Settings, which now opens up but fades after the next click. Other weird issues of this build at my end: * No network fly-out; no access to network settings (seems to be a known bug). * Network icon erratic: it randomly shows "No internet access" while connection is up. * Safe removal of external drives, both USB2 and USB3, is not allowed because the drive is always in use, while is not (never happened in previous builds). Smaller pendrives are silently ejected though, but with no notification popping up (as it was previously). * Software Protection service is now running all the time and does not stop after completing licensing status check.
There is one out there for build 10041 dated March 11, however since you have the 6450 and switchable graphics you might need to manually install or check over at guru3d.com for the driver you need. I seem to recall some issue with switchable graphics, but they have the solution, I do not use that so cannot help.
KB3046049 (Security Update) KB3050284 (Windows Technical Preview March Update for x64-based systems) which I think is the cause of the problems. If I want to execute a prg with elevated permissions it doesn't starts. Sometimes if I wait to much to login it is stucked in checking the password and the only choiche is to shutdown the pc. if I only could go back before the update
Right click start button; Programs and Features; Installed Updates; find the desired update, right click, Uninstall.
No way to disable/enable ethernet or completely uninstall the card, because Open Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > Ethernet is unresponsive. It is. And it is also responsible for CPU peak usage, too high and longlasting for my liking.
Settings/update & recovery/recovery/advanced startup/restart now after restarting I chose troubleshooting and restored to a precedent restore point. The restore had some problem but after the restart things seamed back to normal until the next restart and the update went back as the problems. There is a way to block a specific update?
Yes I tried it but after uninstall nothing happens and the window with the updates list became stacked
Do you think that the old startmenu is still present in the Explorer.exe? Since Microsoft changed the behaviour of the start button, it forces to launch the XAML startmenu..
It is a mess for you...but not me or others. Thinks that make you go hum??? Not really enough info on why it is a mess for you. Nothing personal, but I am kind of getting tired of these short posts stating it is a mess or sucks and no info on what is going on.
