I had so many problems with hard freezing on the original and the new driver from windows update plus the official 15.3 beta. The screen would just freeze on the desktop, never during gaming. I have an R9 270x I have been hardware and software troubleshooting for days I thought I had a problem. I'm so glad someone else has piped up, it wasn't just me. I've left 10041 in the dust and rolled back to 8.1 in the mean time. I'll wait for a few more builds closer to RTM.
Yeah sometimes alpha/beta software testing could be a bitch but for now I don't have freezes any more on 14.12 driver but we will see
when i was win 10 build the Last Version of Nvidia work's perfectly from mom site ...you have try Driver pack solution?
Although it's intended to use with the old Store (green one), but running wsreset.exe and rebooting your system after that sometimes helps. To do that, press Windows + R on your keyboard and type wsreset.exe into following window.
after lastest update by windows update (march update KB...) my system freez on boot after restart.. plizz help...
I can't disagree with anything you've said. I'm not normally bothered about what the Start Menu looks like as long as it works. But as Windows 10 has progressed it seems to be getting less functional. In this last build 10041, I've switched to the Start Page like in Windows 8 or on Tablets. Because its quicker and easier to find and start the programs I want. The icon stuff makes me laugh, as the UI is always the last thing MS adds to an OS. So I don't believe we've even seen the Windows 10 UI yet. Doing a clean install is ALWAYS the best route. You never really know how stable your OS is running, so building something newer and usually heavier on top of it is not smart. Lots of people will tell you how its quicker or better to upgrade because you don't need to reinstall your programs and apps. Which is true IF your upgraded OS stays stable, but if it crashes or gets corrupted due to the upgrade. You have to do the whole all over again anyway. Plus you miss out on a chance to get rid of bit rot and old or unused software. And except when your testing the 'upgrade procedure' is never a good move with a Beta, as Betas are always unstable and your just adding another unstable version on top. Work your way back through this thread and you see a lot of people moaning about different issues, that others don't have. You probably find most of them did upgrades not clean installs. I've had it freeze once with 10041, that was after installing the AMD and Realtek drivers, but before I rebooted. So I put it down to that. As for the error, I get one almost every time I start windows, but its way to quick for me to read. And I quite often get stuck when shutting down with a load of programs (I've never heard of) stopping my system from shutting down
Quoted for truth. First they removed the start menu, then they faked returning the start menu, just to remove it again and replace it by that misbegotten mini start screen which consists of mostly unused, empty space once you remove that tiles crap, can't be resized and lacks a search function. Looks like all they do is wipe their anus with our feedback. It's definitely not the early stage anymore. They plan to have the final version done around June, with the retail version being in stores around August. As such, I'm afraid that what we're seeing right now is already a pretty good representation of what we'll get to see in the final version. Installing Windows 8 in the first place definitely wasn't a clever move If you could somehow put up with it, Windows 10 won't be that much different. As it's not fully stable just yet, you'd better install it separately.
I read on another forum any truth to this? Microsoft Windows 10 10.0.10049.0.150325-1700 Technical Preview 3 March 25th, 2015
That's the latest compilation build of fbl_impressive according to Buildfeed: buildfeed.net/lab/fbl_impressive/
Most probably we will get a new build at the end of next month. Therefore, all of these build numbers are invalid. Now I have been using 10041 for 1 week as my daily driver and it rocks. So it is better to wait.
Firefox Nightly is totally freezing here, I can open the menu or do anything. Tried the safe mode and it still the same. Reinstalled over but no changes. Anyone faced this issue?
Is there a way that I can block installation of Synaptics Touchpad Driver update? I know its latest but the older generic one from Synaptics' website has chiral scrolling option, which I find very useful but is absent from the latest update.
they have enabled a new feature that doesnt work to well i dont know if its just with windows 10 or all windows but to fix it you have to go to about:config and search for gfx.vsync.refreshdriver and change it to false then restart nightly and all should work as normal
