    I had 2 failed installs on the 25th, then it installed OK in the 26th. I left it alone and let it play out - beta software, an adventure for all...

    I assume the Realtek is your "Onboard" built-in sound card? If so, go into the device manager and "Disable/Uninstall" it. Then boot into your bios and disable it (you could probably do this alone and get the same effect). Now boot back into Windows and it will no longer try to install the update. See if that gets you around the problem. You can always enable it when your ready for WU updates, or when your ready to install the latest drivers yourself.

    Isn't the WU update using ESD files, and if so aren't they practically the same size as the ISO's?

    Is it true you have to do the SFC fix after a clean install?

    Hello guys, I am having a problem after upgrading to this build. I get a black screen every few hours. I cannot see anything except the mouse cursor which can be moved. Also I can hear the sound of whatever I was watching. The problem is that I cannot get out of it except by shutting the laptop down by pressing the power button since the task manager won't show up when I try to open it.

    You must have missed the small print in the EULA banning all MDL members from installing on the 25th of the month

    Well I did not have to do that after a clean install.

    It seems like 10041 is stable enough and Insiders are not as excited as before for new FAST RING. They don't even ask to Gabe anymore :)

    Now the latest complied build is 10049. I don't think that they will increase their release speed.

    Thus, I suppose the next will be something like = 10041+(10041-9926) = 10156 ( I am not serious. Just kiddin ) , which is most probably at the 2nd week of May.

    Although we have to consider a factor of * 0,75... because they realised that even cr** versions are good enough so they can release earlier!

    so the next build will be -> 10041+ (10041-9926)*0,75= Build 10127,25 :D :D :D

    Just fill in X letters with the correct numbers

    9879 -> 12.11.2014
    9926 -> 23.01.2015
    10041 -> 18.03.2015
    101XX -> XX.05.2015

    This is just math and Microsoft.

    Hopefully Microsoft ( Gabe ) will keep his promise, which I don't believe anymore, and release builds more frequently.
    I hope Gabe & Microsoft will trip me up

    Looking at the initial plan of TP builds release. Is April not the most significantly date for Windows 10 release to the public?

    Does anyone know if this build has been "stalled" or pulled?
    For the past three days, I would get auto-update notices of it installing (I'm on "slow" updates). Each time it would attempt the update and fail thus reverting me back to 9926. This happened over and over - got to be a pain, so I reverted to win 8 for 12 hours.

    I've now booted back to the 9926 build and when I check for updates it says none available - I'm up-to-date.

    Anyone else experience this - or do any others on 9926 now get "up-to-date" when checking updates?

    Thanks

    did you alter any reg entries? If not you should get 10041 even on slow ring now
