I haven't seen Core links yet. BTW, Why you need Core version ? You can simply use Pro or Enterprise.
Also try entering an unknown command and press Enter. It only prints a short error hint without actually running the command, so you can quickly correct what you typed. Pressing a second time Enter runs the command and prints the full error message.
Looks like they removed it in this build: Code: C:\WINDOWS\system32>Dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:J:\sources\install.wim Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.10061.0 Details for image : J:\sources\install.wim Index : 1 Name : Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview Description : Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview Size : 12,214,397,117 bytes It was labelled Windows 8.1 as Index 2 previously - but setup didn't recognise it anyway.... BTW: I think Windows 10 Core will be called Starter These are the Win Next editions: Code: Win Next Professional OEM:DM Win Next Professional OEM:NONSLP Win Next Enterprise Retail Win Next Enterprise Retail:TB:Eval Win Next Enterprise Volume:MAK Win Next Enterprise Volume:GVLK Win Next Professional Retail Win Next Professional Volume:MAK Win Next Professional Volume:GVLK Win Next Starter Retail Win Next StarterN Retail Win Next ProfessionalN Retail Win Next EnterpriseN Retail Win Next ProfessionalN Volume:GVLK Win Next EnterpriseN Volume:GVLK but it's not RC yet... and I can't see Pro being the only OEMM.
Cheers for your work. You cut down a tree in the forest and two grow back. Good luck to M$, all they have done is to handicap one of the gr8 sites on the net that most likely helps them more than most of the kiddy feedback they receive. We here are a small percentage and this no link is borderline ridiculous, M$ should tell them to back off and let the children play. Regards
Any workaround for Win32 apps not being able to open from the Start Menu or is that something that will be fixed in a WU?
Some users mentioned right-clicking on the win32 apps on the Start menu and choosing "Run as Administrator" and that apparently works as a workaround. What I don't understand, though, is why this particular issue affects some users and not other users. I personally have no issues starting win32 apps from the Start menu. I'm using a Microsoft account and kept UAC at the default for now. Changing UAC to always notify has been causing issues with metro/modern apps lately.
OK, so I had a few hours to spare and decided to install 10061. For me, this means convert to install.wim, add NetFX3, add some drivers, convert to Enterprise and install from Win8PESE USB with WinNTSetup. Yeah yeah, who cares, right? Well, with previous builds, Enterprise versions were "pre-activated" from the start, because I use Abbodi's oem folder (WinDivert method). So my question is: Others noticed this as well? I know activation is pretty useless for these previews, but still, any change in activation stuff would still be interesting...
