Thanks dude but no dice! I don't have that file in there, I have "Show hidden files, folders and drives" checked since the beginning, I even created that file in there but it didn't fix it. I did everything people told me to do that's why I'm quitting and waiting for next build
I added False|24,5,5|24,8,8|24,9,9 and saved it in the localstate folder and at least now it will open up and show a few names.
Clean install of 10061 is now trying to install TWS 10074 as of today. Obviously it's failing. But I'm surprised that it is still showing every day.
No more new builds on impressive branch, this would said that maybe the attention has moved to winmain branch (with last build 10109), or maybe that 10074 will be definitely showed and released at BUILD, in both case we must wait wednesday.
KB3055415 Just released on Windows Update no idea on what does it fix yet let me install it Update for Windows Technical Preview April Update for x64-based systems (KB3055415) 26/4/2015 Install this update to resolve issues in Windows. For a complete listing of the issues that are included in this update, see the associated Microsoft Knowledge Base article for more information. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
Hi all; Please give me a x64 ESD download link (decryptable) of new build. I can't read 102 pages I have read till 15th page but couldn't find working version. Thanks.
I miss the "old days" when the description of an update actually meant something, without having to hunt down the KB article. Hunting down the KB article says it is for this: The lock screen in Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10061 might appear as a black screen with a mouse cursor Was hoping to see one for "Can't launch Win32 applications from start menu" or "People app does nothing" but oh well.
Go and lol yourself. It is not the "simple calc.exe" file Click the link and read why it comes with the installer.
I read it, and if click the link to the download page, there's the following description: Get the old Calculator app from Windows 8 or Windows 7 in Windows 10. It is the genuine classic Calculator app extracted from Windows 8.1, with full localization support. It will be always in your OS language. It supports both Windows 10 x86 and Windows 10 x64. So according to that, it seems to contain the calc.exe extracted from Windows 8.1 - and redistribution of this executable is illegal according to the EULA. That's the actual point.
Just tried to install KB3055415 and it never returns from restart. Now in Win 8.1 restoring image of 10061. I will now have to figure out how to stop it from trying to automatically update again. After restoring image of 10061, I was able to install KB3055415 without any problems. I am not sure why it failed the first time.
I did this but when I click the app, I get this error on Event Viewer: Activation of app microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe!Microsoft.WindowsLive.People failed with error: This app does not support the contract specified or is not installed. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.
