    what is the windows 7 upgrade to 61 trick anyway?

    I never updated my system using something different from the ISO, but I believe that in the first part of the process the esd will be unpacked in to the windows.new directory just like the other upgrade options.

    So, I believe, could be feasible to capture that directory in to a WIM image, then adjust the paths inside the WIM, and then use it to upgrade the system.

    I'm wrong?

    if there was a start upgrade now button i would lol, i went to the site and signed in and clicked the get the preview button which then redirected me to the ISO page, or are u all suggesting i do this via win 7? im on 10056 when i do this. thnx in advance.

    Yeah, you need to be running Windows 7 to see "Start Upgrade Now" button.
