Mine is still downloading for over 40 minutes now. The rotating indicators are still moving. How long have you being downloading yours?
Its a 2.1GB file for x86 and 2.6GB for x64. The file you will see is a .temp file, which will be converted to its original format of .ESD once the download finishes. (Look in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download )
I'm unable to activate this version......I'm using the product key ending in MKKG7 it just says 'Windows can't activate. Try again later' Anyone else having the same issue??
This ends up being a full update install, complete with Windows.old. I wonder if they'll all be this way? It seems like there should be a better way that pushes out only what's needed via WU, the way all their other updates work. Maybe it's just too big/much. BTW, post install, the ESD is relocated to c:\recoveryimage.
The folders are empty but the files size remained the same of the ones that look like the description you have in your previous post. Thanks.
Oh you are right. Thanks for the correction Use KMSPico instead. The latest version is able to activate Windows 10 Tech Preview. I am not sure. Honestly, its the first time i will be trying .ESD files method. (Never have felt the need to use it in the past) You'll have to wait for someone else's reply. Unhide the Hidden files.
Yes but isn't KMSPico an 'automated' thing? If the correct key is required, won't it insert it automatically at the press of a button? Afterall, an internet connetion is required for it to work, so i assume its also able to capture correct/latest key off of its servers, no? OR maybe i am ill informed ... and KMSPico only does the job of activation against KMS servers. Please do correct me about it.
Makes not much sense to activate a public Preview via KMS. The default Install Key is all that is needed to activate it.
Thank you. I found it in the third folder after selecting 'show hidden files and folders' at Folder Options in the Control Panel.
Still downloading here, but i noticed two things: 1. The "Download" folder inside "c:\windows\softwaredistribution" folder contains A LOT of files/folders, most of them with older creation dates (past updates?) 2. The "Install" folder inside above "Download" folder contains a couple of .tmp files, one is around 2.7GB. I guess that is the actual Update, preallocated as it seems.
