9860 Install build error code 0xC1900101-0x3000D Overcome (I just cut & pasted this from my Technet post--hope it may be of some help to someone!) The first time I tried to install the 9860 Preview build the system refused citing the error listed in my title, and took me back to the first build version. On a hunch I disabled the real-time Defender AV protection and tried again. This time, no problems as 9860 installed without a problem--except for one thing...I cannot turn the Defender Interface back on as it says it "cannot verify the digital signature" of the Defender service. That service, of course, is automatically turned on by the OS and is not user-controllable (I cannot switch it off and then back on.) Edit: OK, all that dummy here had to do was simply go into Defender settings and turn on real-time *there*, instead of from the "Home" tab interface....("Turn On" button, which didn't work for some reason.) So, apparently what gave me the 0xC1900101-0x3000D error was the real-time component in Defender not liking and blocking something in the 9860 build Install, and simply turning off Defender real-time is all that I had to do to get a solid 9860 build install.
There is nothing like that as before. But, you can still do something about metered connectin in your PC Settings. Under 'OneDrive' there is Metered Connections and there is also another under 'Search' in the Search and App.
I had the same problem with fonts when I installed the new build as an upgrade. Wiped it and did a clean install from 9860... problem eliminated.

The Windows Updates are forced to Auto by Microsoft in the TP. You can still change it through the registry. This is also true for a few further things like CEIP.
Its not simple but nothing is imposssible so here are some steps you need to follow 1) Download ESD 2) download qud esd decrypter you will find in this forum 3) decrypt the esd to wim or esd than replace it with the windows setup install.wim and you are good to go best of luck mate
there is for me defently a change in window behaviour how it pops up it seems animated like the old days
Activated here with my enterprise windows 8.1 mak serial no problem the key you gave is a generic key given by microsoft for and i quote "Please note - A product key is not required for installation, but is being provided for mitigation purposes only: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-233PK" Greetz Base
endbase is right, there is no need to activate with weird keys or other keys. TP comes with keys installed inside the media already. It only needs an internet connection to activate.
