Try a clean install of 9860. My upgrade install was crappy.

    I would agree with this.

Believe they added the animation in this build.

Activated here with my enterprise windows 8.1 mak serial no problem the key you gave is a generic key given by microsoft for and i quote "Please note - A product key is not required for installation, but is being provided for mitigation purposes only:
    XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-233PK"

endbase is right, there is no need to activate with weird keys or other keys. TP comes with keys installed inside the media already. It only needs an internet connection to activate.

I can't say about the general operation, but 9860 seems to take forever to finish all the startup tasks. A whirling "busy" circle lingers over the taskbar for ages.

Yes I believe they discovered that Computers have the power to do animations once again. It's like we're going from Windows XP to Windows Vista. O wait that's just microsoft discovering most people have more than 2-4 GB of ram.

Personally, I don't care much about these animations anymore. You notice them for a few days until you're used to them and then you don't really recognize them anymore. I remember the first time they did this kind of animation, I guess it was the fade-in Start menu (and menus in general) in Windows 98/2000. It's cool for some time. But when I work with the PC I barely pay attention to them.

I'm still hesitating to update my Windows 10 VM to this build after I read about all the tiny issues compared to 9841. Maybe I'll just wait for the next one (9880, anyone? :D).

All the sudden leaving my PC for 10 hours, the Snap Assist doesn't work anymore. Weird.

Snap Assist works only when restart. After 10 hours, Snap Assist fails to work. Hoping for the next build.

It's something with the metro apps. Kill ApplicationFrameHost.exe in the task manager and snap will work again, until it decides to bug itself again.

Note killing that exe will dump any metro apps you have open.

That's one of the same problems I was seeing. Guess I can't say it enough - clean install solved all those problems for me.

have weird bug with thumbnails in 9860

in system performance settings i have show thumbnails and in folder options as well, but in music and picture explorer window i only see the default windows icon for each of my pictures and music files,if i change the name of each of my pictures my pictures show in explore, and with my music files the cover art work is in the music files tags as i can see them with a tagging program,if i click to re-tag,my cover artwork shows up in explorer, but after reboot my pictures and the cover artwork in music files in explorer return to the default windows icons.
