u were right dude with a registry tweak activating this feature. Enable this cool thing: press WIN+R, input regedit, find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop, find MouseWheelRouting, change value from 0 to 3. Sign out, sign in. Enjoy.
Does anyone find apps crashing quite a bit in 9860? Outlook 2013 and Skype (desktop) in particular here. It's quite annoying, though perhaps expected for an interim build. I didn't see these issues in 9841.
9860 Is less stable than 9841. Even the Start Screen is not show all the apps it should show. And orhuntus81, the feature works. I didn't understand what it does before.
Fresh install .. or more likely an upgrade ? Fresh install on VM (VMware tools installed) runs stable here ... so most likely a driver issue.
Question for the technically inclined folks (if you have a moment). Problem: I have a Western Digital MyBook 2TB external USB drive not working in TP. When plugged in on Windows 7 as well as Windows 8.1 for the first time, Windows automatically recognizes it and installs drivers from within Windows (not from Windows Update). In TP, if fails to even recognize the device at all. WD does not provide drivers for the normal functioning of the device for Windows since it is typically included. And I understand this is a pre-alpha, but just trying to find work-around to make testing easier because I do provide feedback to Microsoft. Question: Would it be possible to grab the drivers (.sys files and such) from a working Windows 8.1 system and copy to TP? I am wondering about Device Manager - Properties - Drivers - Driver Details for the device driver file/location info. Not entirely sure where Windows stores driver files prior to initial detection of device or if I would copy from System32/SysWOW64. Personally, I would assume drivers would/should be identical between TP and 8.1 at least at this stage of development. Do you think this would work or cause problems in TP? Thanks!
