ok.thanks. ill keep tinkering with it. could be something else causing the issues. though when I ran windows update there were two updates to install already. one was defender and one other and just finished installing them so will see if that helped or not. have a good one.
Except for the Stuck Caps Lock key, and the unexplained outstanding patch KB 3016725, all of my machines are looking good, too. All are upgrades.
ok. I checked what it actually was. its number is KB3016725(im going to search and check it also to make sure what its for) if that's what its for,its no use to me as I don't use the one drive.? thanks. update> updates didn't fix my issues. icons still disappearing etc. might try clean install later

I removed the ati graphics driver and now using Microsoft basic ones and seems to be working okay.no freezing etc. so maybe have to wait for newer ones to be released from ati for the new build?
what graphics are you using? I uninstalled the ati drivers and now seems to be working okay. going to try reinstalling them to see if the update just messed up that part.
So broke............. PC Settings > Download was finished > Install Now option showed up: "Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later. 0x80004005" My Download Speed indicator shows full download speed....... still downloading something..... WEIRD!!!
just reinstalled them and everything seems to be working fine now. woo hoo. that saves me a lot of time. thanks to the guys that replied.
