I just can't download the new build. I pressed the "Check now" button several times, changed between Fast and Slow and even rebooted once (with the Fast option on) and it keeps saying, "No new preview build was found, please try again later". Windows Update says "No updates are available". This is pathetic.
My computer does find the update but stays at downloading forever. tried it twice. jeez. so unreliable is upgrading.
Spoiler Can you believe I am not aware of that? The possibility of backing up the system to OneDrive hasn't been until now, at least, I asked about it in this forum before. Now that it is possible to do so I would backup my system online and retrieve it whenever I want. Seriously, Microsoft should be given credit for that.

First of all, scan for malware in your system by using Malwarebytes and then try your hand on scf /scannow from elevate command prompt.
You can get the ISO made by MS without messing with the ESD, the less interaction I have to do to install a system the better lol. Fresh like a puppy's breath.. err wut
I have a i7 2600K and that slow opening problem was not on the 9860 build,so I bet it`s bugged,just like many things in this build.
was talkin' about average usage and some worn out cpus which report such behaviour. In your case malfunction must be found elsewhere
