    Correct!
I have removed a program that was installed after the recent update and the problems are over now.

When I download the latest Build 9879, is this download resumable, or when I start the PC and continue the download, will the download start from the beginning?

I never tested to find out. I know it will resume from when you see the Install button, but don't think it will resume the download itself. Someone stated that it starts the full download again (but I cannot personally verify that).

The v9879 iso from M$ will not resume, it does start all over again, and IMO neither the Clean install or the Update install is worth the DL.
the worse piece of junk I have ever tested. and a Beta Tester since the 1st Windows 95.
and ONLY in VM if you do want to test this PURE CRAP.

My 9879 x64 (2) installs run just fine, they Dl & installed w/o any hick-ups either.
I suppose having a fast internet connection helps w/ the DL though.
    Totally happy w/ 9879 though :)

lol hand picked ones that are perfect or near perfect? wth good is the insider program and feed back for if there isn't anything wrong? Code something on half the scale of an OS, and try to fit half of what the OS has in it without breaking things along the way. You can't. Welcome to pre-alpha/beta testing

Right click on desktop and select "Personalize" and on Personalization window click on "Sound" and make sure the Sound Scheme is set on Windows Default

That is good to see. I had a problem with audio on minimizing Windows video app. Despite that the video worked just fine.

Have you tried directing the driver update to the WDM file in that driver package?

My keyboard backlight is still not coming up at the moment. I think it is a major problem in this build 9879 that Microsoft is not aware of.
