    Well I must admit, after testing these Tech Preview builds for months now I have finally had my first and only crash thus far. This is with build 9879 as well as the recent update (KB3019269) regarding kernel-mode driver win32k.sys, not sure if that could potentially relate to the issue or not.

    The whole networking seemed to shut down. I couldn't enable or disable any networking adapters, nor access anything network related. There was a tonne of Winsock errors and memory dumps mentioned in the Event Viewer. Upon restarting the system, Windows would not shut down properly (just stuck on (Restarting...) forever. So I had to hold down the power button.

    Upon booting up again, all seems to be well. I sent all of the memory dumps and other related Windows Error Reporting info to Microsoft manually since it would not send when the networking components all failed.

    I solved the problem,in fact,a colleague "BAVO" was right...so once again thank you.
    In folder-path: (C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository) was 19GB :

    http:
    //i.minus.com/iHqobdq7YeYxm.jpg

    I have to delete everything (except what Windows is not made to delete),and now there are less than 3MB :

    http:
    //i.minus.com/iLIkA0VODwL8g.jpg

    and now again a complete Windows 14.5GB :

    http:
    //i.minus.com/ibt4qJ9qwyuM3I.jpg

    Now,why in (DriverStore\FileRepository) made these 19GB and whether it will happen again ? I have no idea...
    once again thank you very much,greetings...

    I just checked mine and it is only around 700mb. No idea how it happens the way it has for you. But this is one of the Known Issues with the release of build 9879 and they warned that it would likely happen.

    dippyweb, did you have any resolution problems on your Vbox install? I installed 9879 ISO on a laptop running Win 8.1 pro (native resolution 1366 x 768) and have not been able to get that same resolution on the 9879 running in Virtualbox. What I have is either too large or too small. I have the extensions and guest additions installed.

    Any suggestions? o_O

    Team Fortress 2 crashes after 10-20 minutes of gameplay on Build 9879.

    Upgrade/Clean install = same results.

    PS: Command prompt looks like the old version again but copy+paste function works.

    I also experience that while playing Dota 2, steam also crashes after I force close Dota 2. I found a solution, try to disable Windows Defender. :)

    How did you do that? I can't change the recovery options..When I click the recovery tab, it just go back to the General tab.

    I like how he says @ the end, that when the partner builds (he thinks) are released in December that they (he thinks) will leak all over the internet :)

    I don't think. I know partners will get new builds in December and I know they'll include the beginnings of Consumer Preview features. What I think (or more hope) is someone will leak the details, maybe me, maybe others. You can't guarantee leaks I'm afraid.

    I can see a lot of possible incompatibilities when we get to test the first CP build of W10, due to programs not recognising the new kernel version from 6.4 to 10.0.

    But then again, it was about frigging time MS moved on from NT6
