[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9841

Anyone have a product key that will allow me to activate this version??

Seriously, mine is activated. I didn't make use of any product key but use my Hotmail account for previous build 9879 during the installation.

and still no fix for mail and OneNote apps not updating either

 

That's what's keeping me from using it as my main OS. I'm currently with 9879 on VMWare (Windows 8.1 Pro as host) and I guess I will have to wait until the official Consumer Preview to use it as my daily driver.

 

I'm now running build 9888 everything went perfectly fine except for 3 things:

1. Display Driver Uninstaller doesn't cause of the kernel change which im sure will be updated soon enough.

2. Battle.net Launcher will not launch what so ever it installed fine no compatibility changes work. (stuck process)

3. DotNet35 does not want to install at all keeps throwing an error which is understandable (DISM doesn't work either)

4. It is impossible to enable/change the Write Caching settings of the "Disk Drives" from within the Device Manager (no "Policies" tab available).

other then that everything works perfectly fine even the audio driver which i know realtek sucks at but it works.

I have to agree. The positioning of the alleged Cortana icon is just wrong.

 

There is a 4th thing, which doesn't work:

Okay so 4 things that don't work.

 

I went back to 9879 because 9888 kept losing internet connection.

 

Ive had that problem since Windows 8, Im running an older Wifi card which is probably why

 

I've got wi-fi built into the mobo, ASUS Z87-EXPERT, 1st time I've had this issue.

 

KMSpico fails to activate build 9888. KMSAuto NET works though.

 

Can you check latest MTK, or if done share the outcome, please .

Would guess CODY is interested in that info likewise .

 

ok, so it is modern style like vbulletin script

combinationation of windows 7 for START Menu. that`s the thing, cos in windows 8, it is horrible to enter in start and see quite another thing.

 

MTK refers to it as Windows 8.1 (6.3) so probably will fail.
I will edit this post shortly with results.

Success. However, I don't know if MTK used the key that KMSAuto NET had already put in or not though, not too sure how MTK proceeds when already KMS activated.

I activated with MTK this morning and posted screens - 8.1 Pro VL key works

 

thought I read that before I went to work. Must have got mixed into the mad posting of the leak lol
