Huh ... even more confusion. #1. Use latest v2.5.2 #2. It's Win 8.1 default gVLK which is installed by MTKs EZ-Activator #3. 'Rebranding' only happens when WMC is added, they didn't change the strings in there, so it still reported Win 8.1 in previous releases. Not sure what happens if you do on new 10.0.xxx build . Would say all willing guinea pigs, move one step in front of all .
Regarding Windows 8 product key changing Windows 10 to Windows 8 is a misinformation on my side. It has been explained to be pertaining to product key for Windows with WMC. I mean check the product key in the MTK by default and try to use the one meant for Windows 8 profession instead. As somebody points out above you are using the old MTK and that could be one of the causes. Try what I mention about the product key first.
Using MTK failed for me at first when I tried the Activate button, same Processing screen forever like you have in your screenshot. However, try EZ-Activator button and that one will work for sure. Worked for me.
Explainable ... 'Activate' only does what button implies. KMS Activation will always fail if KMS Key (aka gVLK) isn't already installed. No magic involved at all ... only shared knowledge of MDL reversing/coding TITANS casted into an amazing Tool :flowers2:.
Via admin command prompt, using: Code: DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:X:\sources\sxs where X is the driveletter of mounted ISO/DVD/USB.
That's a very good question. And to add on to your question, for those of us who have activated this build with KMS solutions, could that potentially change our eligibility for receiving future Windows Insider builds?
Anyone have problems with build 9888 and integrated nvidia drivers? They dont want to start for me and they are reportinh hardware problem... everything was working fine with old build 9879...
Windows developers should be in the best position to give the correct answer to that question. However, this is a Build meant for partners and it is a leaked Build - as somebody rightly said before. The main reason I am so excited about this specific Build 9888 is that I have seen much of the Build 9879 and the previous versions meant for the general public. Next Consumer Preview is slated for 2015 and for the time being I have something I can explore before that debut. It means, in a probable course, we might just be expecting different Consumer Preview ISO for clean installation not just some updates.
The exciting thing about the leak of build 9888, provided that the leaker doesn't get caught, is that there will likely be more leaks to come now after this first leak. The leaker has likely found a suitable channel for leaking without getting caught or traced back, and would be more likely to continue that pattern knowing that there is a decent following along with whatever personal gratification comes along with it.
