I can't help feeling as if Windows 10 further alienates the desktop users as it is pushing for further metro controls. I mean I get the need for touch controls but Windows build 9888 does not seem inclined to have controls for non-touch users. Also I still hate the flat look can they at least make it more visual appealing for me lol Most of these changes are aesthetics like going from ios7 to ios8. I'm just not seeing any features that are of note.
I have 8.1.1, 9879, and 9888 on my machine. There are some I-can-see differences, and I'm sure a lot more I-can't-see differences. I get the theory of 1 OS for all devices. I look at it as my trying to use the same engine for the blender, riding mower, and pick up truck. While I'm sure it "could" be done, I am equally sure it "should" not be done. I have no problems with the builds, but I am a very light user, a few emails, some surfing, and a few posting of wise azz remarks here...
I agree. Win 10.xx TP = Win8.xx with an (at the moment) horrible start menu bolted on. Why don't they just forget the idea of one OS across all devices and dump all the Metro s**t from desktop OS!
Metro UI is the best common base in all of the platforms, It is main base on which they will build ONE OS
Still crap and plain fugly either . Sorry to say, but for me unsusable concept (still not sure if concept describes this mess). (would guess no 'Modern' versions for Total Commander, VMware, Photoshop and several others, so no need for it)
GUYS, MS will allow Windows 10 TP users upgrade/update to Windows 10 Consumer Preview, instead of fresh installing (re installing CP) ? And if they will, They will allow to upgrade/update From Windows 10 TP to Windows 10 RTM (with buying licence, offically) instead of fresh installing?
Although i go with EFA11 here, FaiKee posted an answer by Gabe Aul (to our beloved, but pretty silent clown), stating that using the Leak will still allow to upgrade.
not to forget that Gabe now joined jesthon's twitter acc which means that Gabe now gets latest information from the clown
