Yep, upgrade solves the activation problem ... but might create some others :nsa:.

fresh install is still easier lol. I let MTK add a key and activate without issue. Upgrades are important I guess right now for testing purposes. But it seems enough of you gluttons for punishment are taking care of that lol

8.1.1 > 9888 - had to activate with Tool Kit - worked fine.

Yep, tool only breaks due to invasive AV protection or stumbled system responses. Reminds me of using that Watermark Remover in VM for a test and after using it to remove i needed to start a second time. It started with the message that the system couldn't be determined; it was searching for the info it removed previously... MEGA-ROFL!!!.

9888 build seems to be the least consistent when it comes to installing/upgrading/activating. I have done at least 6 install/update deals and each one seems to go a little differently. This build should have been numbered 9666...

Do you know what it is like to sign away your SSD collection in a divorce settlement - IT SUCKS!

ETA - I forgot, I did get to keep her implants - lucky me...

Has anyone else managed to find any other usages of the "metro-menus" similar to right-clicking the taskbar?

    Or simply:
    Code:
    icacls "%windir%\system32\cleanmgr.exe" /save "%temp%\AclFile"
    takeown /f "%windir%\system32\cleanmgr.exe"
    icacls "%windir%\system32\cleanmgr.exe" /grant *S-1-5-32-544:F
    copy /y C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cleanmgr.exe %windir%\system32
    icacls "%windir%\system32\cleanmgr.exe" /setowner "NT Service\TrustedInstaller"
    icacls "%windir%\system32" /restore "%temp%\AclFile"
    del /f /q "%temp%\AclFile"

although, it easier and cleaner to just desktop-link the SysWOW64\cleanmgr.exe
