    I'm not so sure Microsoft is even designing with the intention of building an improved operating system so much as they are building this effort to be an "in your face" advertising gimmick for their services and apps. It also would not surprise me to learn they are planning to "give" the OS away to a great many users because of the advertising features.

    I've seen nothing whatsoever at this point that leads me to think 10 will be any better at all (and mostly worse without 3rd party assistance) than was 8.1. The so-called information center is proving to be nothing but a worthless nuisance, the lack of start menu customization a slap in the face to many, and the simplistic nature of the graphical features is brutally ugly.

    I've gone back to build 9879 and will now await the next released build. 9888 seems stable enough but, even though some of you have convinced me there is no malice in the found infections, the fact that some of the best A/V programs identify those items as threats continues to haunt me. I'll continue to test and provide the little feedback that I can, but so far I believe my feedback is being purposely ignored (at least on the forums).

    They are designing for a purpose and that purpose seems to have little to no concerms for the desktop user.

    when windows 10 hits RTM hopefully it will be a decent OS and something people can use instead of a OS meant for tablets and touchscreens.

    If it is a driver issue, than how come 9879 was so stable for me?

    I guess you are missing the part where things change from build to build. Constantly changing, add one thing lose another. Fix one thing break another. This is how things go. The next build might just say generalsu, this no for you! and wont install at all, or maybe you will be the only one who CAN install the next build. We just never know, its all part of the testing, building and working through the crap to come out with a semi-satisfactory product that is very close to compatible with millions of configurations.

    all windows from 95 (maybe before) are infected with something from Microsoft lol

    9888 is the first build ever for me to experience such negative experience. 9841, 9860 and 9879 was perfect for me. I think that's also because these are public released builds as opposed to the leaked 9888, which is not supported and no patches will ever be released for 9888.

    yes this 9888 build was not meant to be for public consumption, it could very well be for a select few partners who needed to test something. The gamble you take when you play with leaks I guess. ;)

    9879 froze for 3 minutes while I tried to activate Office 2013 using MS Toolkit 2.5.2.

    @M.Shantanu

    You need to understand the concept of BuildFeed.

    The clue is in the name, it's a feed of builds, not a feed of leaked builds

    LOL... wishful thinking?

    Just wondering if anyone figured out how to mask the origin of builds? or if the signature of those has been identified yet... Perhaps the reason AV's are flagging 9888...

    Maybe MS purposely "leaked" the build with something in it that would trigger the AV + as a test of some sort. I am of the opinion that MS allowed each and every leak to be leaked, or did nothing to stop/trace it.

    Way I see it, the final approval department of MS, made up of 4 guys, very similar to you, EFA11, Murphy78, and S1ave77 decide on the leak/no leak status of builds. Can you picture a crew like that adding a few things to a few builds just for giggles, I can. I would not be at all surprised to see Windows 95SE leaked on Tuesday...:rolleyes:
