[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9841

I've clicked in the search bar and I get a message of 'I'm afraid I'm not available to help in your region' (I'm from the UK) also I've tried to go into settings from the search bar but it just its at the settings opening screen and doesn't actually open it.

Edit: It looks like I've got the same problem with all the metro apps...they just sit on their opening screens and don't open

 

Try changing the region to US & Cortana should work

 

This is doing my head in - none of my metro apps are opening

Did you install any system maintainance software like CCleaner,Tuneup,etc?

 

nope, nothing

 

Maybe it's a hardware related bug, this build isn't supposed to be for the general public anyways.

Try reinstalling, it may get fixed.

I have a feeling its a problem with the Graphics card Driver.......Its an Intel HD Card in a touchscreen Windows 8.1 Tablet (HP Pavilion x2 11)

I've been playing around with the metro apps and If I make them full screen and then drag them from the corner to make the close button appear and then if I hit the close button the metro app opens but then of course closes....

Anyone have any thoughts??

(The driver installed on my machine is Intel HD 10.18.10.3309)

What app from HTC is that? Is that an app made only for Windows Phone? That means this is a universal store for Windows Phone,Windows apps

It shows the supported processor is ARM, maybe that's why you couldn't install it

 

I made an upgrade from Build 9888 and everything goes fine so far!

Don't forget to check Calculator modes!
