We can not tell if that's the truth. Although, these are Windows 10 Technical Preview Builds make me have to reserve my comment to conclude early on that major bug they haven't attended to. It is possibly going through debugging process. Who really knows about that more than the Windows developers themselves?
I think, since they have apparently hired a bunch of 'kids' to program, the OS is going downhill. If they truly want to regain the trust and purchases of enterprise editions by businesses, they need to stop with this 'modern' UI. It just seems to keep looking more and more childish to me. I still believe that they should not be trying to create a 'hybrid' OS, and should keep mobile, hybrid (device) and desktops separate.
you'd have thought they would have left the desktop version of calc in there along with windows update or at least given desktop users a choice, I assume theyre trying to metro it even more.
I incline to disagree with your statement to a certain degree. My understanding is that the modern UI has not taken away anything at all other than add to the aesthetic nature of Windows. From the look of things only those who are complacent with old OS(the aged people) would find it a bit challenging in the work place. As the young people continue to dominate the middle positions in business I am seeing this latest Windows 10 as a major breakthrough for Microsoft. The tech is moving ahead very fast. Somebody made mention of the hardware changing faster than OS development in the tech industry, that it only needs operating system that can evolve to make a catch up. The IoT with modern UI are indispensable. I don't think businesses will find it interesting doing the core works meant for the tech savvy person while the latest Windows 10 put that just at their own disposal or finger tip. The hybrid is good to go with due to its capacity to be used as a tablet as well as a laptop. Such mobility is unbeatable and undeniable about an Hybrid. People tend to overlook the idea behind some of these creations by Microsoft and the large number are often times in the know but are not willing to look deep in what they are all about. The reason I wouldn't have them is due to financial constraint. I have argued with my friends on the issue of having a hybrid or having a tablet and a laptop at the same. We all come to the conclusion hybrid is more portable for the business person all ramification. What is lacking in most hybrid is high specifications and poor power management. If not, Hybrid stands the chance of the future computer system. Nevertheless, there is no separate OS for Hybrid, Mobile (tablets and smartphones), Xbox and PC. Windows 10 is meant to find solution to that across all platforms. My believe is Microsoft is thinking big with all these ideas. Making them work perfectly well will usher in the best OS ever in the history of PC and perhaps mobile.
So Control Panel is still pretty full functional, you can still uninstall software from there but Windows Update is a must through Settings app. I wonder if they are going to slowly remove control panel completely and incorporate everything into the settings app.
That's kind of funny. You want to know what else I think is funny? Windows 10 is just an updated version of Windows 8/8.1. And yet Windows XP has a bigger marketshare than both 8 & 8.1 combined! Can you say newest FAIL? Just my opinion, but I don't see at this point that Windows 10 is going to go over very well with their biggest customers, businesses.
How so, give me a very definitive reason that is still the same as Windows 8.1 have you even tried the latest builds it feels nothing like 8.1 it may look somewhat like it
Perhaps it is funny. Regarding your question - No, I don't ! But, I understand fully well that Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 were not total failures. The reason why they failed to make impact, most especially, to the desktop users were the lack of some features(like the Start menu, bringing Metro to desktop, cloud and migration process). And, those are the things Redmond tech giant wants to forestall by using the feedback to get the public views on what they want. Believe me, if Windows 10 is well polished as in the features and functions to the public demands at the final release it would be the best OS ever.
I completely doubt they are doing that. The feedback has helped to return the Start menu from Windows 8.1 without the usual features to Windows 10 Technical Preview we are seeing gradually coming to life as a good OS. For a reminder, these Builds are all Technical Previews and there is no hope lost looking at what they have done so far with them. We all agree more needs to be done to make it a better all rather the best OS ever.
There is issue with this build showing what are supposed to be invisible cmd prompts. I'm getting hundreds of them, trying to get to the bottom of the issue.
Build 9901 Hidden CMD Prompts Showing/Flashing Issue Workaround Simply disable Experimental Features for cmd.exe which have now been enabled by default. S1ave77, you may want to REPO this before the threads get flooded with this issue. I didn't have time to do a screenshot at the moment. But this simple fix saves for a lot of headaches. Thank you.
