Keep in mind that this, at the moment, is internal. That means that the small group at Microsoft that is specifically in charge of the fbl_awesome1501 branch currently has two internal builds going on, one on the Slow ring and one on the Fast ring. They have to now find the right balance, or should I say the right build, to get that right balance between relative long-term stability (for continued support with patches) or the right amount of wow factor (new features) to show off at the event. It doesn't mean much for us because we don't have access to these yet. Simply just means Microsoft is determining the most stable build over the next week or so. Those builds on Slow ring and Fast ring could very well change again as the event gets closer.
I suspect you are right. Nothing real to look at now so each little "thing" becomes the "mountain from the mole hill". With any kind of luck from the Gods of Goodness, we'll have a new toy on the 21st - about 10 days from now - give or take a day depending where you are on the 21st.
Yea ok buddy, sounds like we have a Linux fanboi over here.... Windows aint going nowhere, even if MS f**k up Win 10, Win 7 will be around for years and years, don't believe me? Check out how many people still use XP... You can wish linux to take over all you like, it's never gonna happen And it's not MS's last chance to make it right, not by a long stretch, they could make the next 4 Windows OS's as bad as Vista and people will still buy and use them over Linux You're living in lala land if you think Linux will ever overtake Windows as a home OS
Google Chrome browser works fine for me, I just installed to check it, because I see on many sites that it doesn't work.
I can't believe how many people are using Windows10TP as their primary OS. Don't people know how much personal data they are just giving to MS including passwords and the like?
eh its been mentioned, argued and debated since the first iteration of Win10TP. If people want to after all that has been discovered and shown, so be it. Let them do as they please. They will anyway
Okay quick question:- Doesn't Android & it's apps also send usage & personally identifiable information to Google & the app publishers?? Aren't there some third party keyboard apps that record keystrokes? Doesn't people give away a lot of personal info to Facebook,Twitter, etc.? People still use those...what exactly different is the Windows 10 Preview doing?
Exactly, the only way to be sure that no data is collected is to stay away from the internet & never use any smartphone/ any other modern means of communication. Even then also they will find some way to collect data
FWIW if you're interested you should try qBittorrent or Deluge over uTorrent. That client went downhill after 1.6.1 and/or 2.2.1. Also, What's daemon tools useful for if mounting is built into 8.1/10? And you should empty your Recycle Bin. Also, why do you leave IE pinning to your task bar if you're using Chrome and Firefox?
Even for example when we use Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+ we gave data to companies, so today it's normal
Worked for me, I also had compatibility mode set in properties, so I had to disable that now its working fine
I am using 9901 and I can't change the download link in update, Preview builds to the other one that you guys are talking about. I upgraded from 9871 to 9888 then to 9901. Been waiting to see if it comes in an update like everyone is talking about but still nothing. Is there a way to change it with regedit.
