Wait until they announce at the "unveiling" tomorrow they've decided to call it Windows 15 to go along with the year...we get build 15000.15.15...
Honestly, I would suggest with the "milestone release" tomorrow to start a new sticky Part 2, will ease in finding information.
You're all wrong, they will stick with 1000 ... Because... Windows Ha10 !! 1000 = Ha1000 = Hallooo!! = Helloooooooo !!! = HALO! And... Halo... is Halo... Cortana is in Halo and Spartan is in HALO, The Windows will be about Halo and Halo will be the them of Windows Halo and Aero Glass will be Halo Glass the new UC will be about Halo Ha10 !! HALOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Speaking of build numbers, I'm really curious what the final one is going to be. For me, 10000 is out of the question because I assume the counter will surpass that number well before RTM. Now, what's the next possible one? 10400? Like in 10-4, Stand-By ? Or will they change the rules and drop the divisible by 400 requirement for final sign-offs? Anyway, I'm relieved that there will be new stuff to play around by tomorrow... put this thread back on track
I posted this comment on Neowin. Figured I'd just copy/paste lol. 10.0.10800. The build number increments in major OS versions by 1600. 6.0.6000 -> 6.1.7600 -> 6.2.9200 -> 10.0.10800 This, of course, leaves out Service Pack upgrades like Win7 SP1 and Win8.1. This is really a guess, but I don't think its too far from accurate.
It is still Jan-20-2015 at MS. 942PM to be almost exact. I highly doubt they will release anything at midnight
If it's true at least we have some info and screenshots or demos about the new build At me the event is at 19:00. Just 10 hours left.
