Even if you guys happen to get an ESD it will be useless. They're all encrypted and the RSA key was changed after 9879, so you'll have to wait for the official release to extract it anyway lol.
That's not Legal! I'm surprised MDL Supports this stuff, and they upload retail paid only ISO Images of Windows Vista, 8, 7 with Loaders which is "ILLEGAL" But they prevent ISO conversion of ESD Uploads and some stuff, I suggest the keylogging removal thread gets removed, thats illegal, a preview is not meant to be used as a final OS, right?
Definitely illegal but it seems nobody here cares about copyright infringement which is a huge issue. Just sayin'
Do like I've been doing for awhile...create a simple text file and place it in at least two separate folders inside every partition you have...! Makes losing the official "sticker" much easier to endure...especially when you save it in a nice, big font designed for eye-friendliness...Then, write it down and slip the paper inside your DVD jacket... I'm guessing the "upgrades" will not install unless you've booted to your previous OS first (Win7/8.x)--Good question, though. Microsoft could go the Win7/8.x key route, or they could simply provide a new key automatically once they've verified the existence of the qualifying previous OS. Seems like as they are giving away the upgrades for the first year that the previous-key route might not be optimal, but who knows? Wonder exactly how this is going to shake out for XP/Vista users later this year, Lord help those rustic souls... They're going to need new keys, an unknown amount of cash, and a clean install, it looks like.
You're free to use one service or the other though. Considering there's both Windows phones and tablets, Live/outlook email, and Bing; what reason do you have to be tied to Google still if you want to use Microsoft services? Also, since Google was the first one to come out with those features; wouldn't it make more sense for Microsoft to support those features?
This is a question I thought I'd ask in this thread: has anyone any more recent info on the time-out date for the Preview versions? I don't see how it could still be 4/2015 as since that announcement Microsoft has announced that Win10 will not ship until fall, 2015. But I haven't seen anything official about that. I read a post by Aul just the other day in which he reiterated that the goal they are shooting for is to have the preview upgradable to the final RTM version...nothing solid on that yet, of course, but still that would also seem to indicate that the timeout for Win10 Previews won't happen until at the earliest one month after Win10 becomes available for public consumption/purchase... Dost thou, or anyman, knowest whereof I speak? (Murdering the Elizabethan, as usual!)
Because Google is the first phone I used and im poor and I cant change easily, both have some similar services, I use Windows but Chrome, I use Chrome on my Android too because I need the sync feature, thats how it goes with all the other apps... its annoying! we have enough social networks as it is! back then it was just Facebook now its Facebook, Twitter, SnapChat, Instagram, Vine, Whatsapp, Ask, Skype, Google + SO MANY!
Competition is good (although personally I can't stand Facebook, Instagram, or Skype). Also before Facebook, we had MySpace As for device changing; I typically just try swapping device. Ended up trading a smartwatch for a Nexus 7 a while back.
Google+ should just merge with Facebook, Twitter should be ... idk... Instagram can die Messenger was much better compared to Skype, they never brought the old features back in Skype...
The build I am running (9879) expires on 15-April-2015. Whatever build is released to us next will probably be at least June or July. You can be sure there'll be another build available long before that one expires. So it's really nothing to worry about unless you just aren't wanting to update for some reason.
The only bit of official info that I understand about that was that with each Preview (Insider) build going forward, the time-out date will be extended on each one as it crawls closer toward RTM.
Any guesses on which languages will be available within the next build? I remember M$ having some sort of "waves" for the languages but can't find any information about that, i might be wrong.
I kinda disagree because I think Google is a GIANT tech firm themselves. In fact, I have long wished Google would get into the Desktop OS market (not Chrome OS) and build their own Linux distro for use on Desktop machines. One that tightly integrates with the Android world. Google has BILLIONS to invest so if they started with their own Desktop OS to compliment their mobile market share it would be fantastic and I think it would take off. I use both Linux and Windows side by side ever since the mid 1990's, and even though I really like my various Linux distros, I think I would use a Android desktop if I could, just because of my many Nexus devices and the amazing level of apps Android has. It is the sheer level of apps alone that steered me to buy Android Tablets and not the Surface Pro. No, your not the only one who notices stuff like this. I have hated this about the US for a long time and it is the reason I have not watched TV since 2006, that and Drug commercials. I calculated a savings of about 10,000 hours of my life saved (assuming 5 hours a day of TV is consumed and I live a normal life span) doing more important things, so long of course I never watch TV again (NFL and Netflix excluded, lol). We have starving children in this country and many other countries for that matter but our priorities here are making sure men have adequate amounts of Viagra and any other sex related drug. With the amount of money spent on Sex in the US every year, just 1/10th of it could end child hunger I think. Its really sad.
