I gotta give it to MS. It was extremely ambitious to do Vista when they were working with XP. They are very different operating systems. They changed so much about the way they handle updates and services. I remember when Vista first came out, if you did a search in the search box it would take like half an hour sometimes.
I see Vista as an evil but necessary step to the goodness that became 7, without Vista we'd still be using something close to XP And yea, I remember the search box being very buggy in the start menu search, my ex boss could crash his Vista laptop in one of many ways, one of them was searching for anything beginning with Q lol Another way was trying to install SP2, always bricked it
I should be fine downloading it... Well, I say that, I'm currently running Linux at the moment so hopefully it's just an ISO and not an SDM thing or executable.
This is one very active thread, As someone who has used windows all his life, but never really cared about the builds/demos, I'm going to be taking an interest in Windows 10, great to see "10" finally hear (metaphorically speaking), I bet the microsoft download servers will run at a crawl for a day or two , perhaps they should embrace bit-torrent (free bandwidth)
It could have been an issue with certain hardware in general. I've seen a vista laptop working decently as well. It definitely didn't work very well on any desktop I've ever used it on, though.
Most hookers have hooters - whether it is 1 am or 6:30 am. At 1 am they compare to Win7, at 6:30 am they become Win8.
Im ready. actually today(not because of windows 10) I upgraded my network lines in my house. new two 100foot cat6 lines running through house. and I also too a nap. lol I work night shift and normally sleep durning the day. but I was off last night and decided to sleep for 3 hours more. So im good to go.
I expect the Windows 10 to be on a separate pedestal by this time by giving it a place as it's done to Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows XP in this forum.
