    installed without a nic was able to create a local account then activated it via phone :).

    Setting titlebar to black still results in black on black text like Windows 8 :/

    Otherwise it seems smooth. Taskbar is a little buggy, when pressing the winkey the non-start menu widget portion of the taskbar appears behind many full screen applications including Firefox.

    One problem is that if I upgrade my 8.1 system (Pro WMC), non-english, to English Tech Preview, I'll apparently keep user files but "lose apps and Windows settings", do they mean I lose apps from Windows store, or other programs such as Office, Firefox, as well? (not likely, but maybe I should just wait - I have backups of course)

    Unless you stayed disconnected after that screen, that's not necessary. Activation happens automatically later.

    .net3.5 doesn't come pre-installed. some of my dell drivers require that it be installed.

    Yeah but you can't remove the search icon or the task switcher next to the start button....

    AND WHY THE f**k IS THERE A NEW TOTALLY USELESS "Home" Page on the File explorer, which doesn't even show local drives...
