After removing all the app tiles from the start menu, I was asked for my first feedback. "How useful are the tiles on the start menu"?. I think my removal was probably a good indication of my thoughts, but I answered MS politely anyway.
LOL with the Search button on the taskbar next to the Start button, it looks like they're going the Windows 95 Chicago prototype way again...
It's been a while since I've been here, hello all! Just installed 64 bit on my desktop, looking good, gonna install all my daily used software... will report back
Another change for the better: When you close a Metro app with the "X," it actually closes now. In Win 8.1, it would appear to close but merely suspend.
Is there any way to remove the Technical Preview from Windows Update? In my excitement I managed to install the 'consumer' .exe and after a reboot now the install is flagged in Windows Update and I want it gone. I've tried hiding it but it's not complying. Nothing that I can see in Programs and Features or Installed Updates that I can remove. Anyone? Thanks.
