Enterprise has one index only: Enterprise the Normal has Professional 1 and Core 2 you may add this as ei.cfg to sources to skip entering key: Code: [Channel] _Default [VL] 0 but this would make the branding Windows 8.1 instead of Windows Technical Preview
i got everything i wanted working and i am doing benchmarks now 2/4 are done with amazing results vs 8.1 also i wont be using that useless start menu thank god they gave us a choice so far windows 10 is a would bang lol
not certain why the Enterprise ISO's have the ei.cfg unless its needed for the pid.txt? I haven't loaded it without the ei.cfg to see yet.
Does the File Browser now have Tabs? Can the list of items in the sidebar of the File Browser be deleted and reorganised? Example, remove Network, This PC etc and place devices like HD's art the top of the list and place icons of specific directories below? Does the File browser now finally calculate the size of folders which is shown in a column in Details/List view?
I don't have any apps installed to test it but you can drag windows to the very corners of the screen to snap them to a quarter the size of the screen. abload.de/img/untitled2aeks.jpg (copy&paste in to your browser) You can right click the taskbar and select show windows side by side as well.
Yup, no luck without PID.txt, it's asking to input key. I'll try ei.cfg way. As I understand, a normal TP can't be converted to Enterprise ones, right?(because as you said, the normal TPs have Professional index and Core index, neither of which may not be same as Enterprise ones?!). Does, Enterprise TPs have PID.txt, if so I guess we can copy that key into normal TPs key(unless Enterprise TPs don't have a generic key as normal TPs). Sorry for noob questions.
The feedback system is amazing. All of my longstanding issues with Windows already have tons of votes. Maybe there's hope for a truly collaborative Windows that meets the needs of power users.
Just a heads up, including ei.cfg has worked, it even presented a screen with an option to choose, 'Technical Preview' or 'Technical Preview For Consumer'(not sure the same prompt is displayed for normal installation, i.e, without this ei.cfg). Code: [Channel] Default [VL] 0 Yes, you are right, but I was asking if that key is a generic one or not?
Just tried to remove the watermark from Technical Preview Pro Edition. But I could not remove it completely. I changed the following files: C:\Windows\Branding\Basebrd\en-US\basebrd.dll and C:\Windows\System32\en-US shell32.dll.mui with the .dll files someone provided in this thread. Now looks like this : How can I completely remove the remaining watermark ? I have Pro version not Enterprise.
no its used for activation, everyone gets the same key with Win10, BUT you can use Win8.1 ent GVLK keys with Win10 to activate.
