seems like it really dont likes to hibernate... The start menu/explorer was really screwed after reboot...
any difference between enterprise version and normal version of windows technical preview? which one did you'll install ? help please?
I don't think Cortana is in any way going to function in this present Technical Preview despite there are three folders with files pointing to it for it in the WindowsApp directory.
Bugs: 1-Start Button so buggy, fix the color issue, forced flag color, black reticle needs to go away ! 2-Ugly shadows under windows, windows look very wrong, borders, lol ? drunk design? Just add Aero back. (and no it doesn't eat away power if they do it properly, and they gotta fix this default UI. 3-Allow us to change start flag color and modern UI selection color ? or just make it follow the theme color, cause its not following it. 4-Right clicking on start menu user icon or clicking power button and hovering mouse across selections will not make them "Select" shaded, only works via keyboard, what happened ? that was fine back in 8/8.1 5-Pressing the start button makes it bugger up, Lol funny. 6-If A modern app is maximized, minimized and then brought up it will be restored down, bug ? otherwise, this is a tech preview and hopefully all bugs will be smashed in the future and I cant wait for the new features like Cortana / Notification Center, someone enable Cortana Already !
i installed with no internet connection and skipped typing installation key. windows not activated, and i used MTK to activate. sorry if this was already general knowledge. still reading through posts
Should activate automatically. Just connect to the internet and probably login with your Ms account...
Not being a Mac user, I never would have thought to try that. I actually might have thought that it was always that way in Windows. I'd like to try it in Win 8.1 now, but VirtualBox doesn't work. One little unrelated bug I've noticed: the Windows Update screen in classic Control Panel often (but not always) says "Most recent for check for updates: NEVER." The last date/time doesn't stick. Same for "Updates were installed."
