Pagefile? That doesn't relate to disabling the shutdown behavior. Did you mean in connection with his dual-boot issue? How so? (I assume you're not talking about the feature where a window doesn't need focus before you can scroll it.)
if it really bugs you try using your driver dvd for MB and ave it search for drivers there. win 8 drviers should work.
I installed the new Metro VLC on Win10. Although the app runs (the shell appears), it won't play any videos I've thrown at it.
I just installed VLC , only issue I have and it is minor, and only applies to music videos. Not certain if it is just a certain file format or not, but I get a notification x 2 for music videos but everything I throw at VLC is plays without a hitch. I did reboot my PC after installing VLC. Just habit and it works fine. VLC 2.1.5 Rincewood. Used the exe installer, non beta.
That's not the way I want to move... I wanted just to show a difference between 8.1 and W10 TP. There is no option in any menu (maybe hidden), to really shutdown the OS. The only way is "Hibernate equivalent"... Or restart.. My dual boot was doing the same thing if I closed W8.1 using hibernate option. I never found a way to clear this "dirty bit" at W8.1 shutdown , in order to have a clean boot from W7.
I thought that was the same with 8.1 Have you tried disabling fast startup in Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System Settings ? I had it disabled as well (in 8.1) to get my partitions to mount in my linux boot. For the moment I haven't booted to linux yet since upgrading to 10.
Hello guys , the new option called "recent files" is given me a hard tame 3 please guys how to disable it , thanks
don't know if this is related, but i had a problem with usb ports not shutting down at sutdown. no settings in windows changed it. had to go into bios and change one of the power settings. can't remember which one, but now they power off. no more lighted mouse when computer is off.
try this i found a way View attachment Drives in This PC (Home) Windows 10 TP.zip *edit* pic added* picture how it looks after my reg file
yours deletes only the folders.. mine add the normal drives view back at home menu when you startup file explorer directly.. or press winkey+e thats the difference abbodi1406 *edit* pic added in the post of me above
Google Windows godmode folder after you done it check inside to see if theres something for your tasting i believe there is mention of shutdown in there if not you can see the hibernation options
Windows Defender is working perfectly updated more thrice in the past 2 days of the installation of my Windows 10 and the backup is used to backup my system settings to OneDriver. If yours aren't working you need to enable them.
Defender isn't nearly as good an anti virus as Essentials and I don't backup over the net. Connection's too slow and it's not secure enough for my liking. Thanks anyhow.
Foobar defines it as this but we maybe talking the same thing, basically the scroll is lock to the pointer not the keyboard. Previous windows in file explorer you need to click the pane prior to using scroll. whole lot less clicken in file explorer Basically it should smooth out the whole OS and be easier on the brain. Regards
