so charms is gone or can we enable it?

 

So now you are running the same driver (14.12) and CCC doesn't show the settings? : S

I thought this type of stuff only happened on older cards.

 

networking works here, installed generation 2 (uefi) using dism /apply-image
regular setup hung for an hour at "Preparing ..."

 

nope its not showing in settings but if i right click the display there is the option for Configure Switchable graphics but it goes to Creating and arranging desktops

 

I had it happen once on my 7660G + 7670M laptop, but I'm not certain on the situation.

In any case, i'm getting 10 set-up on my laptop now, so I'll be able to give feedback on switchable graphics in a bit.

 

I was to complain not even mp3 played for me, but then I've seen there are updates available. So after restarting this feels way more stable and everything I tried so far worked well.
Things I loved:
-Now mouse scroll works also over inactive windows. (there is even an option in Settings)
-Managing Windows is now a pleasure with the new full screen option. And using Aero Snap now always remembers the previous size and position.
-goodbye Charms. I prefer the new Notification area and the hamburger menu in the windows.

So far so good.

 

Jesus christ, anyone else think this build took a huge step back? Seriously, can't resize the start menu anymore, I have to use the metro area to pin s**t to the start menu, I can no longer pin it to the metro area drag it over to the main start bar then remove it from the metro area. When I have nothing in the metro area it doesn't shrink back down, it stays like a fat start menu, introducing the metro like all apps screen, what the s**t, seriously. This is a god aweful nightmare now. It feels terrible again.

Edit: Also clicking outside of the start menu doesn't close the start menu, having the start bar on the side of the screen makes the notification icon not work (Shows as a blank space). I understand it's a TP but the issues before the edit, what the hell, I really hope they change them back or give us an option to do so, I really hate the way it works now.

 

Am awaiting your results! 7670m is interesting as it is still based on the 5xxx/6xxx and not on CGN as far as I recall. So it will be interesting if it gets DX12.

Haven't had the chance to try it on my laptop yet. ( 6850m + HD3000 )

Start Menu is now a XAML app. So just wait them to update it in the next weeks. Transparency is coming too.

 

i think its driver related i guess AMD will need to release drivers for the Windows 10 Tech Preview

 

They are trying to hide local accounts even more in this build.

 

We have resumed all control. We have resumed all ...... We can hope CN codes a knock off. Will be interesting in the future.

Oh man, I'm on the same boat. I HATE this. I want to be able to pin programs in that fat area and remove "settings" "Documents" and "File Explorer.
Also, a resizable to the RIGHT start menu or expandable while I'm adding programs to "Pin to start" I don't want to SCROLL the damn start menu.

 

Has anyone had any problems with Nvidia drivers with this build.

 

I can't seem to install the drivers on my laptop at all; during the installation process, my screen goes black, sits there for a good bit, and the computer eventually restarts.

 

'Customize' button is grayed out to customize Start menu.

 

I feel it is fast even on VMWare.

 

Quite honestly, performance has improved since previous builds. This is the best performing build thus far and seems to be quite stable.
