Anyone got it working on vmware 11? I'm stuck on "getting ready", then nothing happens. I've tried the refresh option too from the recovery but nothing (this method previously worked with old builds).
Noted before and confirmed .... oh goody. Well it will not see 4.7 until RTM and that is where beta testing and workarounds start. Regards
Krutonium (leshcatlabs) has a Windows 10 setup with PXAA he reported that he also has the reboot bug upon driver install with 14.12. Currently he is re installing Windows. His setup: 7660G and 7670MAMD A10-4600M APU/CPU. My personal advise: Remove the iGPU and see if it will work.
You can use "Windows Enabler 1.1", just set it to On and click on the grayed button to enable. But it doesn't seem to be working or have a lot of options.
Agree with speed and stability. The start menu is something else all together... ETA - IE won't even run - no biggie, Chrome works fine.
Yeah agreed... I installed it onto a RAID0 of two new Samsung 840 Pro's just so I could max out my SATA II speeds. Also just finished installing two new USB 3.0 cards so I could test Windows 10 USB transfers. I have not begun yet as I want to make sure these cards are on their latest firmware, but I hope Windows 10 has improved UASP transfer speeds over 8.1. Lastly, this time I installed Win10 in a dual boot config with 8.1. First thing I am noticing wrong is that the selection screen for the OS to boot into is coming up onto the TV, instead of the Monitors. That does not happen with 7 or 8.1 as its always on the Dell monitor. So, now I have to lean back and hit the TV button, turning it on, its a 2007 projection TV so I have to then wait for the bulb to shine bright enough so I can see the OS buttons just to select the OS I want to boot into. For now I have unplugged the HDMI cable from the TV. I will look into this a bit later, but that isn't fun. lol Going to test some network and SSD's and hope it does not kill anything, lol... and maybe install Classic Shell cuz I'm not digging the new start menu.
It did give me the start menu options but after selecting my options...they never did appeared on start menu.
Absolutely. Much worse than 9879.. I immediately noticed the start menu couldn't be resized. UxStyle doesn't work so I am stuck with this ugly as sin GUI where I can't even set the titlebar to black without making text invisible. So I can't use the Silk for Windows 10 theme. Going back to 8.1 until a working UxStyle comes out. Also when I press the winkey I can no longer search items in the start menu..I type and nothing happens.
When Microsoft releases a new build over 9926 will it be by an update pack or should we download 3.9 GB file over again? I am asking because I have quota problems.
I reinstalled 10 just to be a PITA to MS. WiFi is still buggy as hell. Just disconnects whenever it feels like. Would think that after 4 builds that they would have figured that out at least.
Has anyone installed Classic Shell yet? Is that a stupid question? Is it even working with this build?
Not a stupid q. I installed it as part of my PostInstall thingy, and it works fine, I just lost my complete system tray... Not sure if that has anything to do with CS, I'll have to do a step-by-step PostInstall to see which of the dozens of settings/tweaks causes the tray to disappear. Only thing I tried so far was re-enabling LUA, that didn't do the trick. '
