After a reboot I encountered again the startup probem, that does not allow the computer to boot anymore, even in safe mode. removing the battery for 5 minutes and unpluggin the power cord allowed it to reach safe mode, with a windows explorer hard error on the desktop I used system restore to a safe point i set weeks ago. Rebooting and it solved the startup problem, however the startup menu is still broken, letting me think it has to do with the new startup menu acting up and f**king everything up It is a serious issue, and the only one i ever encountered. I have no idea to fix this and it just breaks the whole OS..
chkdsk is good. Its always this single issue that arises, i had the same one begining of febrauary after not touching anything in particular, or installing shady software, and I ended up doing a clean format. Now this issue comes back again
Well i can't really post an image since when I reboot there is just a blank screen and only the mouse appears, aka failing to load the Microsoft account screen. When i managed to reboot into safe mode, this appears : postimg.org slash image slash grsj6f7r1 System restore to a point where everything works solved the lack of microsoft account (explorer.exe ?) so i can login back an access the desktop but the start menu doesnt work, only right click on it will load the compact menu. funny thing is that clicking the "search" option will bring the charm bar on the right side back, a thing i have not encoutered in win10
I applied your fix and it restored the start menu and notifications. For now the computer reboots fine and doesn't seem to get stuck at the login screen, at least for now. Thank you for your fix, it avoids me from reformatting, least to when a new build comes out .
