So far 20min install on my desktop. Only took about 8min on my laptop to install and its a core 2 duo with 2gigs of ram. Its an HP2130 laptop. My desktop was really fast, I hope it runs fast once it is installed. The other thing I noticed is I only have one screen displaying one my desktop. I have two HP 25 inch monitors on my desktop and one is just black. With the other builds I seen the same thing displayed on both screens when I installed the other builds. I hope it will extended the display when it finishs install.
Yet another example of Metro app versions being watered down versions of their Win32 predecessors... The new fat and tall calculator removed the "worksheets" feature that was in the Windows 7-Windows 8.1 one. Worksheets were a feature in calculator that let you calculate fuel usage, mortage, and vehicle lease. I wonder what Microsoft will deprecate next? Metro apps ALWAYS have less features, option panels than Win32 versions. It is obviously NOT designed for power users who use a desktop PC. Why do the power users have to get thrown away for the sake of the novice mobile users? Also it doesn't let you run more than one calculator.
The key for 9926.0.150119-1648.FBL_AWESOME1501_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X64FRE_EN-US and one more questions 9926.0.150119-1648.fbl_awesome1501_clientpro_ret_x64fre_en-us_c69a3d8a6199812c221a4a3d4e8db8b119bd1901.esd that is .esd and say Client Pro is Pro preview something??
Don't like it that there is no control panel in this build of Windows 10 I like control panel it showed a lot of info and was easy to get around in. It is faster though and my display is working great without any work.
I have the control panel but it is now a modern app like thing. I could not figure out how to set it back to menu mode.
(Quoting myself, about my disappearing system tray) I think I found it: In previous w10 builds, I used this to remove the notification icon: Code: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer] "DisableNotificationCenter"=dword:00000001 In the new build, this seems to remove the complete system tray... To me, this is a huge bug... So a previously working solution to "turn off notification center ONLY", doesn't work now, maybe we can find a new setting. (DisableNotificationCenter=1, EnableRestOfSystemTray=1???? ) I will do a final test and edit this message if necessary.
yes it was fine for me , it took only 16 minutes to install , BIOS is used. VMware tools installed but my Intel I218-V NIC On Asus Z97-A did not work. i plugged a D-Link Wirless ,it was instantly recognized and 1 update installed.

the first time i install it was slow, because it was installed over 9879 build. the second one on a VMware machine which took only 16 minutes. so it is fast.
Code: 1) Windows + R key to open Run dialog. 2) Type or copy and paste appwiz.cpl into Run and click OK. Hello, everybody.
Windows 10 TP doesn't auto-adjust screen resolution in vmware 11.0.0 build 2305329 Yes. I am also having same issue. Even after installing vmware tools, Windows 10 doesn't auto adjust screen resolutions when you change the windows size. VMware Workstation Version: 11.0.0 build-2305329 You could manually set/change screen resolution in Windows 10 TP 9926 but then you would have to constantly use vertical/horizontal scroll bars of vmware window. I had the same issue with Windows 10 build 9879 too. Guess this would be resolved with next version of vmware.
I have EnableLUA set to 1. So now the "start menu" (...) doesn't work, because it's a Metro app now. That's fine, I use ClassicStartmenu anyway. But the Wifi flyout is a Metro app as well now, I guess, so how am I supposed to set my Wifi pass now? In the previous build, I could restore the flyout with some SetACL magic and "ReplaceVan=0", but that doesn't work anymore, either. EDIT: Never mind, it works like the last build: SetACL stuff, ReplaceVan=0, then open "Network Connections", right-click, connect. I was just a bit alarmed by the giant Metro-like icon, but it disappears after a few second, first time you run it, it's just slow as
I did an upgrade from previous build and it seems to work perfectly well. One thing I experienced though was my battery ran down a bit fast than normal during the process. Does anybody experience the same thing?
Why don't you just turn down the user control settings to the off position instead of modding the registry?
Thanks for the tip. For now, I'm just playing around with scripting this stuff for my PostInstall tool, something has changed in the new build, I'm just trying to figure out what/ where/ etc. Just a bit of fun, really, I guess we can have "fun" like this once every few weeks until August... EDIT: Sorry, it works like before, it's just a bit slow on first-run.
