I was at 0% @1954 local time, currently at 92% 2020 local time. ETA download complete @2022. Now I'm going to make brew while it installs
the 10039 bug still there in new build no mail people or calendar apps work how to fix * Open powershell as administrator * Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online * Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
Yep this build is just as buggy as 10036. Very disappointing but at this point it doesn't surprise me, I am starting to keep my expectations VERY low on account of the long string of broken promises.
Mine took almost 3hrs to download on a 40Mbps connection. Windows Update is designed to work slowly in the background so it doesn't mess up what your working on. Which makes it a stupid way to deliver Install images. But hopefully the P2P options will help with that in the future, Did you do a clean install or just let it install over the top ? Because installing anything on top of the buggy 10036 isn't smart. Did you use an ISO of the same language as the ESD as your base? I had ISO's fail when using a en-GB ESD with the files from a en-US ISO. I can't remember what the error was now. But changing to a en-GB base ISO fixed it.
I would've done a clean install if they provided ISOs, or if I can find a fast FTP or HTTP mirror with the ESD converted to ISOs that's bootable, so in-place upgrade was the only feasible option.
Me too, I did a fresh install of 99whatever it was and upgraded, then created my own iso. Works fairly good, just can't stand the icons and "metro apps".
Yeah, I'm getting the same. But on 10041 Realtek Audio keeps failing. But worse still the AMD video driver worked, meaning I've got days of trying to dig out and remove the 300+MB of AMD Control Crap why do they add that to low powered onboard GFX chips.
