i finished installing 9926 and upgraded to Enterprise using 233PK.....no clean install i upgraded on top of the 9901 no problems all drivers working and my AMD graphics card catalyst updated. i will not do a clean install until final release....not worth it... if u can upgraded with no errors and all drivers work. so far is a bit strange the icons and menu will take to get used to. and the flash will not install on firefox for some reason.
Well, I tried my best to resist but the new start menu is one of the worst most useless start menus to date. Installed Classic Shell and the whole thing is a much better experience now. Sad really because I thought we were going to get the start menu that we saw in 9920. Internet Explorer no longer works properly. I always use Chrome for all my internet browsing, but would launch IE for Netflix viewing since it knows how to remember where the TV is located (and it was first with working HTML5 video playback). When I start a movie or TV show now in IE it just crashes with a message " Whoops something went wrong". Chrome 40 64bit is working perfectly for Netflix viewing. AMD's Omega drivers installed for my old Asus 5870 without a hitch. Someone had said yesterday that the AMD drivers were not working on 9926, but they worked perfectly for me. This also solved the issue I had with the OS selection screen (dual booting) appearing on the TV instead of the desktop monitor. YAY its fixed now... My Dell Laser will install its driver, but is not seen anywhere not even in the Device Manager. It see's my "other" newer laser printer on the network, but not the local Laser printer via USB 2.0 connection. Not sure why that is. Other then those minor issues above, this is quite possibly the biggest leave of traditional Windows since my BETA days of Vista. I do NOT like the look they are trying to achieve but I do like the speedy "feel" of it and for me performance is everything. So far everything I've thrown at it in the way of software installs has been working, but I still have a ways to go yet to finish it.
Microsoft said we would not get Spartan until a later build. So I doubt this is Spartan Wasn't the charms bar removed a long time ago? I don't remember using it since the first build of 10.
Yeah, i also went back to the old startmenu. The new one is horrible! I absolutely hate it how Microsoft makes everything based of XAML or whatever it's called. It's like Java but even worse. Since i'm using the magic powershell cmd to remove all MUI Apps, the new startmenu was gone as well... Which is a good thing actually EDIT: Oh, cortana is gone as well.. Hmm, i don't care. I don't need a voice assistant on a PC anyways.
My other hard-disks just dissapeared from "This PC" when I checked them in "Manage" they're still there! The only available one is the C "system" drive! Anyone faces such a thing?
