I upgraded my windows 8.1 pro to windows 10 and I'm not disappointed! Runs good enough for me! (I upgraded through the windows update area and everything worked out perfectly! Any tips for me with the new version of windows?
VLC Player works but no sound. Anyone else try it yet. Also no sound from Cortana I do have all the Windows sounds.
The problem with getting stuck on "getting ready / Vorbereitung läuft" is only in 64 Bit Version. The 32 Bit Version is working without problems in VMWare. Strange....
Read through this thread to see issues others are having - then enjoy what it does and don't worry about what it doesn't...
I have 64bit installed on three machines under vmware without issues. Maybe it's a language pack issue as mine defaulted to english and it appears yours is german. I should say without issue in the installation, I do have vmware tools issues even though it installs fine.
ok, have you got hide empty drives set in the file explorer options? I don't think that would affect anything but you never know, what with it being a beta build
Thank you for that information. I remove the Windows.old file, get into system configuration click on the Boot tab and delete the 'Windows Rollback' option.
Yep, it is dynamic. You are perhaps right, but some friends of mine installed Windows 10 Build 9926 using the say ISO and they both have the same Default lock screen.
It does...I upgraded 9879 to 9926, took ~45mins, and I had only 7-8 programs/drivers installed... Doing a clean install of 9879 took me only ~20 mins (nice), but doing an upgrade install of 9879 when I had a full compliment of 8.1 programs installed (~100) took me darn near 90 minutes. Obviously, the same old situation exists of "the more programs installed," the longer it takes to do the upgrade--logical, I suppose. Kind of like booting speeds... The topic reminds me of many years ago when I monkeyed around with taking a full compliment install, saving a copy of the registry, formatting c:\, doing a clean install of Windows, then attempting to restore the registry--which *I thought* should have put me in the same place as an upgrade--only much, much faster (20 minutes + as opposed to 90 minutes +.) Of course, I never could get that to work..
I assume you didn't connect with a ms account or that would have changed it to whatever you have your account set to use.
