Can't believe, this has to be the best build ever so far! very clean, neat and stable, and the WinUpdate downloaded all the drivers I needed without any hassle! The only issue is that Cortana is not responding nor listening which hopefully will be fixed.
@alexisfire999 thanks but usually i installed these many times in different PCs , but this particular PC ( Asus-Z97-A , I74790K ) has this issue , even with build 9879
Hi. Is it possible to disable or move from Start to Metro like Windows 8.1 ? How do I remove shortcut arrows? Is there a way to get transparency of Start?
I think i just broke the new start menu. I deleted all apps but the tiles are still there :/ @ultimate_live yes you can revert to the old Windows 8.1 Startscreen. Go to to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced add a new DWORD x32 key and rename it to EnableXamlStartMenu and set it to 0. Now restart Explorer and now you can enable the startscreen in the startmenu options
I know it's just a minor issue, but the new calculator app (calc.exe) is a big, ugly monster that takes up almost the entire screen height (can't be made smaller, only larger - LOL) and gives me eye cancer with it's monochromatic colors. The previous desktop version is no longer there. I tried to copy the old calc.exe from a win 8.1 installation, but it won't run (there isn't even an error message). Any ideas how to get it to run in win 10?
Yes, it is. Then prompted to login with MS acc, select "create new account" and in the next windows choose "login using local account".
I just clean-install it on a PC ( with intel HD 4000 , Gigabyte Z77X-D3H , and i73370K CPU ) , i imaged it with Acronis True Image. then restored it to the problem (at least for me ) Intel HD4600. and it was fine no problem.the driver shown is HD4600 i done this before many times. but a direct install on Intel 4600 will crash the system.
I think I found a bug, when you remove a drive letter of a partition, all your drives -but the C drive- will disappear from the "This PC" until you bring that drive partition again. I removed the letter D from "System Reserved" partition of my other hard-drive (Windows 8.1) because I won't need it to be shown but all my drives are gone until I bring it back!
guys, the only problem right now is, everytime im opening the "desktop background" from "personalize" the scrollbar goes crazy. thats mean i cant check out new wallpaper, the scroll keep bringing me back down and goes crazy blinking. anybody have any idea how to solve this?
new tray clock UI Right click on the Start Button, select "Run" Type "regedit" and hit enter Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>ImmersiveShell Create a new DWORD (32-bit) value, call it "UseWin32TrayClockExperience"
