Reminds me of a couple of questions I have been wanting to ask, but keep forgetting... Q: I don't recall seeing a root directory named RecoveryImage in earlier builds (or did I just miss it?) This looks like a self-repair system, maybe, and includes a 3.5GB file named install.wim...which I assume is the original 9926 install data. Edit: Ran cleanup to check here on my system (booting from Win10)--nope, it doesn't return anything even close to ~3GBs. Hmmmm...wonder what you found there... Q: Anyone notice how the dual-boot menu system in 8.1/10 is sort of screwed up? At least, that's the case in my UEFI system. Instead of presenting the user with a choice of OS boot partition, and then booting straight to that partition, the default OS boots itself about ~50% and then displays the boot menu...! The disadvantage is that when choosing the non-default OS the system has to reboot a second time to clear the default OS and boot from the non-default OS partition. The advantage is that boot time from the default OS is near instantaneous because most of it is already loaded when the menu presents... But maybe this is just the way it works in my UEFI system with secure boot turned on. Comments?

thanks! do you know a way for disabling websearch in searchbar from startmenu? No need to send out every local searchquery to bing/microsoft
My windows logo on the task bar does not work after update, click on it and nothing comes up cannot see any apps, installed software nothing.
Is there a way to use "normal" icons on the taskbar? That tiny little line of pixels symbolizing which programs I have currently opened is not enough for my eyes...
(sorry if these question as already been ask but didn't want to start a new thread) 1.Can this version be used as main operating system or is it still too soon 2.How many more releases before final release 3.When Do M$ expect to release the final version 4.And can win 7 or win 8 or 8.1 users upgrade through the store Thank you
Cortana works fine on mine, did nothing different, except raise levels as high as they would go and rebooted
For Cortana use: In system tray, right click on volume control, click on recording at top, Highlight microphone, then click on properties, click on levels at top, raise all the way, both, then click on listen, Click on listen to this device, click on apply at bottom, now talk and you should be able to hear yourself through your speakers, now uncheck listen to this device, click on apply at bottom. Reboot. Now you mic is setup to talk to Cortana, you have to say [hey Cortana] first, every time you use her, she even said NE is going to win Super Bowl, don't forget to click on microphone next to search box when you first open Cortana.
Maybe this ? / Not sure. Open gpedit.msc Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Search Settings: Code: Do not allow web search = Enabled Don't search the web or display web results in Search = Enabled Don't search the web or display web results in Search over metered connections = Enabled User Configuration / Administrative Templates / Start Menu and Taskbar Settings: Code: Do not search Internet = Enabled
