Why I should? It's just OS and Apps! Data not 2GB, only those which are needed by that apps. Partitioning would give us problems with the 2. Drive Letter!!
im using a samsung 840 evo , with rapid mode on , running samsung magician 4.4. anyone experienced some kind of slowdown?
Can't see why it'd cause issues (I've never had) but, anyway, you're obviously free to do whatever suits you best. No argument here. I still find it weird to do things that way... it's just a waste of space, that's all. My 2 cents.
I'm using a Samsung MZNTD512HAGL (M.2 PCI-E - NGFF 1GB/S) SSD (aka Samsung XP941) and Windows 10 TP Build 9926 is blazingly FAST as a rocket!! I'm not using Magician though... (don't need to) so you might try to uninstall it (it may be the cause of concern).
well im log in with my MS account but i have admin rights....it was working fine in 9901.....i think 9926 firewall is blocking the port yahoo messenger uses to connect.
I was mean: if use the 2. partition for data, that would us give problems. We using those drives for servicing only. Many of the apps we using need to have the data on the same drive as the apps using to run and if the data are saved on an 2.partition, those apps couldn't find them! To explain again: those drives are Windows to Go Drives since Windows Vista and used as boot-drives instead the internal C drives in the used computer. I don't need to explain that, for some work, the OS couldn't run on the drive you need to edit for what reason ever. That also includes checking for malicious content like Virus, Maleware etc.! That's just one of many possibilities! By the way we using either SmartDrive or Orico external drive cases with at least eSata and USB 3.0 interfaces with mainly 320GB HDD's. If possible we use the eSata connection because we get the full HDD speed up to 6GB/s.
