OK, I have "Settings" pinned to the top of the Classic Shell start menu, no need for any right clicking here. I'm keeping the stock 9926 Start Menu so I can use it and watch its progress, and not to mention give my two cents in the Feedback App on how much I hate it.
Hopefully the next Friday they will release a new build for us. Apple has been releasing builds to developers every 2 weeks. This is the way Microsoft should pursue or release more frequently
Friends ask for help. When I run Windodws 10 from the DVD under Advanced Options do not show icons Startup Settings (photo1) as seen on photo2 that I found on the forum. I installed x64 Winodws Entreprise TP 10th. (photo1) (photo2)
Hopefully MS wont make the same mistake again and provide option to use the old starts instead of removing them, perhaps creating a mix of both of them too, I really prefer the old ones tbh, also, how did you add this tile ? xD
Did anyone use cortana? I am having problem with it with most basic things. It doesn't search local files. When I tell it to open c drive it searches bing. Whatever I say it goes to bing. Does anyone have any better experience? I know its a tech preview but yet was expecting more from it.
You can't change the Startup Settings on a PC from a DVD. You can from the installation itself or from the recovery environment.
I only had 1, right click it / properties / check hidden and press ok. Gone after a refresh on the desktop, hope this helps.
More functionality will come in next builds. As for now, you could try set reminders, ask when your favorite team is playing or just have a small chat with her: let her to tell you a joke, or maybe ask here if she loves you.
How impossible is to make the same registry of windows 10 start button on windows 8.1 and create start menu like 10 ?
We pizz and moan waiting for new version/build/whatever of Windows. When it arrives we start tearing it apart looking for ways to make it look like the old version/build. Some of you people are nuts...
I make this question only for technical reason and second you must think that some people may be their pc not work so well with windows 10 and they want only the start button of windows 10 on windows 8.1 pc. It must think and this option ?
Yeah, after all the moaning about Windows 8, where have all these Windows 8 'lovers' come from. Personally I don't care which version I have, I just like something to play with
Remove your DVD and goto Settings -> Update and Recovery -> Recovery Then under 'Advanced Startup' click the 'Restart Now' button. You should the 'Startup Settings' once it reboots.
Absolutely true. LOL Me, myself wanna watch closely the progress and let MS do their thing. I have resisted the urge to touch the registry so far.
