Who cares what this build is called? CP, TP, GT, PIP, TNT, LOL, 9, 10, customer, consumer, tech, preview, beta, alpha or omega... I couldn't care less what they named it so long its new and it boots on my machine. haha
Anyway to make Cortana work in the UK?? I've set my home region to the US and it still says that 'Cortana is not available in your market' Thanks in advance
What is this about breaking HDDs now? Are we talking physical destruction? Extra wear-and-tear? Total filesystem corruption?
Never had a HDD break from the earlier TP's but I did have HDD degradation while using the OS, this only happened when moving from 9841->9860->9879. An in-place upgrade from 8.1->9841->9879 prevented this on my setup.
Download was fast, added NetFX3 to wim, unattended setup with WinNTSetup, all OK. "CurrentVersion" reports 6.3 (like 9901), not 6.4 or 10.0. HKCU\Console\ForceV2=1 (like 9901), so no hidden command windows in some setups (unless you change ForceV2 to 0, of course). My system tray's gone though, no idea what's causing that (could be ClassicShell).
Am sad to hear this guys! When I first saw this on the Community forums I kind of shrugged it off but hopefully they fixed whatever was making this degradation happen.
Anybody else having problems with adjusting windows size in vmware with this(enterprise) Seems no matter what I try it bounces back to some predetermined size. vmware tools said it installed but I am guessing it doesn't work with this build.
